Strengths: laser tracking (versus optical) high resolution tracking that is adjustable, dual replaceable battey packs, button options, feel (heft), logitech warranty and support (which is very very good)
Weaknesses: price
Summary: This mouse is sold as a gaming mouse, and it is great for gaming. However, it is also a great mouse if you want a good mouse for general office computer purposes that you use all day. It feels good and handles well. It may be overkill for everyday computer users but I would buy it if the price was right - if you can buy for between $20 and $50 its a good deal - rebate or no rebate.
1. laser tracking may be somewhat of a gimmick but if you can buy a mouse with 2000 dpi (dots per inch) resolution for a reasonable price why not instead of an optical mouse.
2. resolution is swithcable on the fly - this will be more useful for gamers
3. 2 battery packs with unit - again for gamers but also helps if you dont want to go looking for spare batteries or rechargeables
4. feels good and is comfortable
5. usb receiver is stable and minimizes interference at 2.4 gigaherzt
6. response time of mouse to movement is very good - no lags
7. battery indicator - nice lights but not too useful as you will just swap battery packs when the battery needs replacing (helpful for gamers more likely)
8. options for setting sensitivy and buttons if you are really into mice
9. conclusion GREAT GAMING MOUSE for the right price and GTEAT MOUSE GENERALLy for non gaming uses
At the right price this is a moiuse you will keep until the lithium ion battery packs are dead (dont know how long they will last with regular use and because they are propreiatry they may be expnesive to replace keep that in mind)
