Strengths: cool design, feels nice, two recharagable battery packs, high dpi
Weaknesses: short battery life
Summary: 2006-10-05 15:07:35 Its has an adjustable DPI setting of 800/1600/2000 DPI or even more for various uses. So this is a must for gamers especially in FPS games. But the battery life is so short, it can last only up to 4 hr. So I use it only in games, but another wired mouse when doing other things. If you really care about the battery life, you should buy the G5 mouse with almost the same function.

Strengths: Incredibly smooth and comfortable.
Weaknesses: Short battery life.
Summary: I purchased this mouse to replace my excellent MX700. This is an excellent mouse, with a few flaws. It is a gamers dream. Lightweight, wireless and customizable. It is a very impressive design and a step up from the MX700.

The connectivity between the mouse and receiver is typically excellent, smooth and responsive. However, oftentimes it'll spaz out, loose connection, or get very jumpy.

Strengths: The best piece of PC hardware ever
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I bought the G7 when it came out some time ago, and have used it tirelessly every day. Most complaints with wireless mice are about the batteries, or about lag, but with the G7, neither is a problem. If you're serious about gaming or just serious about the peripherals, look no further for the best mouse on the market.

Strengths: useful features for gamers (well, it was intended for them
Weaknesses: price, propietary battery, scroll wheel not comfortable for me
Summary: sleek, good looking, featured gaming mouse with a number of useful features. User changeable laser tracking, extra rechargeble battery pack with battery indicator(query how much a replacement will cost). Very worthwhile at the right price.

Strengths: laser tracking (versus optical) high resolution tracking that is adjustable, dual replaceable battey packs, button options, feel (heft), logitech warranty and support (which is very very good)
Weaknesses: price
Summary: This mouse is sold as a gaming mouse, and it is great for gaming. However, it is also a great mouse if you want a good mouse for general office computer purposes that you use all day. It feels good and handles well. It may be overkill for everyday computer users but I would buy it if the price was right - if you can buy for between $20 and $50 its a good deal - rebate or no rebate.

1. laser tracking may be somewhat of a gimmick but if you can buy a mouse with 2000 dpi (dots per inch) resolution for a reasonable price why not instead of an optical mouse.

2. resolution is swithcable on the fly - this will be more useful for gamers

3. 2 battery packs with unit - again for gamers but also helps if you dont want to go looking for spare batteries or rechargeables

4. feels good and is comfortable

5. usb receiver is stable and minimizes interference at 2.4 gigaherzt

6. response time of mouse to movement is very good - no lags

7. battery indicator - nice lights but not too useful as you will just swap battery packs when the battery needs replacing (helpful for gamers more likely)

8. options for setting sensitivy and buttons if you are really into mice

9. conclusion GREAT GAMING MOUSE for the right price and GTEAT MOUSE GENERALLy for non gaming uses

At the right price this is a moiuse you will keep until the lithium ion battery packs are dead (dont know how long they will last with regular use and because they are propreiatry they may be expnesive to replace keep that in mind)
