1 Star ReviewPoor service
Strengths: compact, cost
Weaknesses: signal strength weak
Summary: When it stopped working suddenly after one year, the phone tech support was very haphazard (took 3 calls and 5 hours) and the subsequent RMA process is unbelievably long. After 3 months I am still waiting for a replacement. Calls to customer service were of no use whatsoever - apparently they have a large warehouse where 'many parcels are being received' (as per the CSR) and hence my return item was lost!! Talking to the supervisors and managers has been unhelpful...

Strengths: small form factor, stand, world voltage, includes 4 port router unlike other small travel routers (technically not a travel router but can be used as one)
Weaknesses: not enough ventiallation ports in case which causes it to run hot read early potential failure???
Summary: Another good product from Linksys. While it runs hot and causes me concerns about frying the electronics long term given its on 24x7, it is a good perfomer, rarely drops a signal and has good strength trhough my 2200 square foot wood frame house. Installation is fairly intuitive but read the information on the cd first before you jump on and if you are a newbie to setting up a router read the section on security settings and set up a security regime. You will be amazed how many people cant be bothered to do so. Long term use will provide a better gauge of this unit which I will update in 6 months after constant use. Paid around $15 for it after rebate in November 2006 which is fair.

Strengths: compact, cd installation guide, manual, linksys quality
Weaknesses: runs hot, no external antenna
Summary: good coverage which can be improved upon with an external antenna. Very good manual for those who read such things. Basic security with wep 64 and 128 bit security. four port router, firmware can be upgraded. All in all worth the investment. I am pleased.

Strengths: small form factor, world-wide voltage, and inexpensive.
Weaknesses: wall outlet wart, no client mode.
Summary: I used it while travelling overseas. I turned it into an access point for my notebook. The Linksys software is very comprehensive. I actually like its lack of an antenna--better security for a small area. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for one of those routers specifically designed for travellers, this is a good alternative. I don't like the wall wart, however. A client mode would be a very nice addition.
