Weaknesses: Should have an automatic shut off. Summary: This perculator is a dream when you first own it. After 6 months of daily use, sometimes less time, the pot looses its heating ability and therefore the coffee is weak when poured...does not taste like it has been perked enough. I am on my 4th pot as of yesterday...when it works it is the best tasting coffee made at home. I noticed on this new pot that the plug has been changed to a three prong as well as three prong to put into the base of the pot. Weaknesses: Center of heater well inside pot is difficult to clean. Summary: I have tried many percolators and dripolators and this one has been the best so far. I makes 8 cups very fast and hot.
