Automatic motor overload autodetect. Weaknesses: Somewhat noisy. Summary: This is an extremely powerful mixer, as its 700+ Watt rating would indicate. It has six power levels; the highest position I have ever had to use was #3. This mixer is actually made by Kenwood; it is a well built, heavy duty mixer. I've used this mixer to make cookie dough, pancakes, bread, and pasta; it has performed flawlessly. I like how it has a lot of things to attach so it can do a lot of jobs. I owned a 400W before this and the 705W is a huge difference. So actually I've only used it once. I've to say that this is really a powerful machine. I used to use hand mixer to mix stuffs while doing baking. With this machine, my work becomes much easier. It also has lots of other functions that I still haven't tried, such as grind meat, make juice, etc. Sounds quite good. I'll give a try next time. Let's see if it can replace my kitchenAid blender. Frankly, its outlooking is not as good as kitchenAid products. It's plain. And noisy. But I've not tried other brands stand mixer, so don't know if all those machines are noisy. Strengths: Powerful; Auto-detect Overload; 10-year warranty on motor Weaknesses: Loud; Hard to find accessories Summary: This Delonghi Stand Mixer is actually made by Kenwood UK which is a famous European company. It has 705w motor under 10-year warranty while most Kitchenaid mixers only carry up to 450w motor. This mixer features a solid metal body with tilting head, planetary mixing action, variable speed with a "pulse" setting, 3 mixing attachments, 3 more outlets for accessories, a stainless steel bowl with a 5-quart capacity. It also offers a overload protection. This feature makes sure it can handle big dough with safety as well as ease. It's kind of small and its looking is not that attractive. Maybe it's European styling. :) You can attach a lot of accessories which can be hardly found in local stores. Well, you can always find them via internet. The sound is loud but acceptable. The Delonghi company does not make this mixer any more. Instead, they now have a whole new line of products that have more technology, fancier design, and higher price.
