Works on XP but not Linux
Strengths: Cheap, small, good software.
Lots of configuration possible.
Came with Video, L/R and S-Video input adaptor cable.
Weaknesses: Does not work on Linux, yet.
Has "PAL" antenna connector.
Summary: I had to buy an $5 adapter at RS. Salesman knew what it is was! I had never seen that kind of antenna.
I was able to auto-scan the channels and then edit in names.
I have yet to try the video editor, or picture gallery.
Does have a video on the desktop option I want to try.

Kworld USB2.0 TV Box
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: Expensive. Heats up very quickly. The bundled software/documentation is poor.
Summary: As many other reviewers have mentioned, the rebates are not reliable. I never received my check, and I will never buy any KWorld product again. The unit heats up very quickly (30 mins.), so I would recommend using a usb cable to prevent any damage to your computer.

KWorld PVR-TV 300U Dongle USB2.0 TV Box
Strengths: None
Weaknesses: Not supported by any PVR softwares freely available in the market.
Summary: This product is a piece of junk. it does not tune many channels available on the cable. I have a TV cable connected to this, it hardly tunes for some channels, and the channel resolution is very bad. The software which comes with this(PVR Plus) is also junk. I keep getting the error 'cannot render audio'. it had been 4 days i could not resolve the error. and also one more disadvantage is it is not supported by any softwares in the market other than SAGE TV. SAve money and invest on a good card rather than this.

OK TV Tuner for USB interface
Strengths: USB interface, small, ez to carry arround
Weaknesses: video quality
Summary: 2006-05-09 23:59:22 Used this with my thinkpad and works flawlessly. Installation is easy and it took me about several minutes. The picture of TV receiving is acceptable. It's very considerate that one USB extension calble has been provided in the box. Scheduled Recording function is handy that allows to record any TV program, especially it can be fulfilled in power-off mode( which is called- S.R.P.O.-Scheduled Recording in Power-Off Mode).
Overall, it's a ok product. BUT, I would not buy this if there is no rebate. ^_^

good little gadget, especially handy with a laptop
Strengths: small size, very convenient
Weaknesses: it becomes very hot after a while
Summary: The software is very easy to install. The auto scan did not work for my desktop for some reason. But works just fine for the laptop.
I have noticed that this unit gets very hot when the application is open, even when you are not watching any TV programs. I am actually concerned that the heat may damage this product. So it is important to remember to close the application when not in use.

good usb2 portable TV tuner
Strengths: small size, usb(save a pic slot)
Weaknesses: get hot after use for a while
Summary: I used this for my desktop. Works good. First I have a pic slot TV tuner from wintv. After upgrade my machine, I only has 3 pic slots. So I got this baby to save a slot. The wintv one will crash after watch for a while but this one doesn't, it's just get a bit hot. The picture quality is ok.
It is PAL/NTSC capable also. When I move to those country using PAL, it's nice.
I have yet to try the video editor, or picture gallery.
Overall, I like it. Hope the rebate will come.

medicore analog USB2 TV tuner
Strengths: Small, protable (usb2 interface), and cheap price (I got it from newegg with $40 rebate).
Weaknesses: Analog TV tuner(which will become obsolete in years), doesn't support HDTV, buggy software.
Summary: Because of its cheap price after $40 rebate in newegg, I decided to give it a try in despite of a lot of complaints pf Kworld rebates. It is a decent product after my first try. I haven't had luck to get some TV signal (my major intention, since I don't have TV at home). I might need to get an analog TV signal antenna to make it work. Inside the package, there are also some cables which may be useful for some people, like digital conversion for analog signal.

Strengths: VERY small, easy to set-up and install
Weaknesses: No remote
Summary: My laptop is not the fastest (1.3 GHz Celeron), but this thing works fine on my system. I live in a small studio apartment and don't have room for a full-sized TV, so it is great to use my laptop as a TV.

Not too bad
Strengths: Small, and compact; comes with all the wires and connections needed. USB2.0
Weaknesses: Poor documentation and installation instructions, recording below par...
Summary: I am using a 2ghz computer, and the recording still wasn't super. It dropped frames, but it wasn't too bad. Watching live TV or other inputs was pretty good, as the sound and video were in sync. The included software seemed cheap, and not very intuitive. However, there was good documentation with the software. Poor documentation on the actual hardward dongle.

Good product for the price
Strengths: Decent feature set for a low price
Weaknesses: PAL based connector requires use of NTSC adapter. Slight flaw in installation software. Unit gets really hot. No included antenna for off the air channels limits portability.
Summary: It's cheap and it works as advertised on my Vaio laptop. However the usb "key" is on the large side and sticks out very far and makes it clumsy. The unit gets pretty hot after a few minutes of usage. I'm not sure if that's normal or if I have a bad unit. With all the heat generated I'm not sure if this unit will last very long. For portability it's ok but it would be difficult to bring an antenna along with you. The software seems to do its job just fine. PAL based connector requires use of NTSC adapter, which is included.

Decent USB TV Tuner
Strengths: USB Interface
Price
Weaknesses: Sound/Video Quality
Summary: I had originally purchased this TV tuner because of its low price and the ability to use it with my Dell E1505. So far it's performance has been average -- I tend to get some static with the picture and sound, but since this laptop has an ExpressCard slot instead of a PCMCIA slot, it is one of the few options I have found to have TV on my laptop. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. (Especially if my KWorld rebate comes in.)

Strengths: Good TV receiption, portable, low cost.
Weaknesses: driver bug (?)
Summary: It works as advertised for TV after I installed the driver on my laptop. The image quality as good as the one from All-In-Wonder TV card. I haven't tried to record from other video source yet. However it won't work with my desktop PC which has a All-in-wonder TV card already installed. It gave me blue (death) screen.

Strengths: Compared with the other USB type TV Tuner, this is the smallest I have ever seen. The interface is very easy to learn, but the screen remote control is a kinda ugly. Except that, everything looks perfect.
Weaknesses: No remote.
Summary: I have had a number of TV tuners that shared inputs with my monitor. They worked OK, but because of the shared imput, picture in a picture was impossible. With this little USB input tuner, PIP is possible and works great! I can watch CNN Headline News up in the corner of my monitor while I delete daily spam. As a GREAT bonus, the included software includes a virtual TiVo that allows you to set up timed recordings of the video stream. This is great, as I can then convert the files to MPEG4 and play them on my video iPod. I can record old movies that play late at night or the latest installment of Lost or CSI - for free.

Don't expect to get the rebate
Strengths: small
Weaknesses: bad image quality
Summary: After over 12 weeks submitting the rebate form, they said:You did not enclose original or copy of invoice.(packing slip is not considered acceptable invoice.) "Resubmission of this Rebate Request will not be processed”
This really sucks because this is the only receipt from buy.com but obviously they don't believe it. I applied for rebate of other products before and there was no problem at all. I will never trust the rebate from KWORLD anymore.
