Strengths: Bass, clear midrange and treble....VALUE
Weaknesses: None at the price
Summary: 2006-02-27 16:50:27 A great value, better than the sony fontopias, nearly as good or better than super.fi 3's and shure e2c's. For the price you won't find better. If you're just looking for good audio on the go that's comfortable, these cant be beat. The more expensive models may give you better sound (tastes vary) but you will pay much more for it and most are larger and not as comfortable or discreet looking.
A great upgrade to cheap earbuds.

Strengths: Strong and comfortable.
Weaknesses: Haven't found any.
Summary: I don't have much experience with higher end headphones (I've always just used the manufacturer's), but these were great. You can hear every little tone from each song and they block out outside noise quite well. I highly recommend these.

Strengths: Buy one to believe it.This has got to be an award winner.
Weaknesses: None in my opinion and i am sure you share this view if you purchase this product.
Summary: i own various other earphones which include Etymotic ER-61, Sony MDR EX 71SL, Shure E2C, and the Sennheisher PX100. these products are very good but but in terms of quality, comfort and value for money the Sennheiser CX 300 is by far superior. i conclude by saying buy one.

Strengths: Clear sound and bass
Weaknesses: none
Summary: 2006-03-24 19:20:28 Awsome, clear and strong sound and bass. In-ear canal earphones will damage your ears if at a high level. So listen at the lowered decent level. Bang for your buck, it's way better than Sony Fontopia.

Strengths: Comfortable fit
Weaknesses: none
Summary: It makes me wonder why anyone puts up with the earbuds that come with the ipod. The sound from these is so much richer and, as a bonus, they block outside sound much better. I can wear them for hours with no discomfort which I could not do with the Sony supplied earbuds.

CX300 Ear Monitors Headphone
Strengths: cheap...
Weaknesses: hissing....
Summary: I bought this headphone from amazon.com after I saw a lot of good reviews about it. however, when I received, I was disappointed. I don't know if it is a defeated one or the problem of my ipod player, since I cannot tell too much difference between it and the original headphone with ipod. what is worse, I can hear the hisses when a song is played. also, even my sennheise HD477 produces sound with more and better details than it, although they are different types of headphones.

Strengths: good price
2 year warrenty
Weaknesses: low hissing sound when using on laptop
Summary: over all the Sennheiser CX300 are a solid pair of headphones. I was looking for a replacement for my Sony MDR-EX51LP. which I like but had gone through 3 pairs in six months. while I have only been using the CX300s for two weeks they felt to be better built than the Sonys from the beginning. They also feel more confortable in my ear. while the price isn't cheap they are more affordable than other quality headphones like the Shure E2C. The only complaint that I have is the low hissing sound I hear between songs when I use the headphones on my laptop. I don't hear it when using them on my mp3 player.

Strengths: comfort, powerful bass
Weaknesses: too short of a cord, sound isolating
Summary: I think this is a good earphone simply because of the comfort. Reason I said this is that the cheaper headphones will always feel just a little loose. You can really wear this for a long time and that's what matters because there's no reason you are spending over 40 bucks for something that you only use for an hour.
The only problem in my opinion is this isn't really an "in-ear" canal fit. the noise isolating is abysmal and can't really compare to an er6i which I still use on the subway. I hear the shure plugs will fit this earphone and that will give good noise isolation but I can't be sure since i don't own one.
Sound plus comfort equals a good buy for a headphone. The cord would be longer but that could be an advantage to some.

Strengths: comfortable to wear, great sound quality, very good and tight bass, clean backgroud, no distortion like sony product line, angle plug
Weaknesses: At $40, none.
At $60 price, lots. package is cheap. no earbud case, cheap cord. lack of soundstage feeling.
Summary: I got it from amazon for $40 shipped in the first week it was release in Feb. With this price, I would highly recommend it to anyone who plans to upgrade the original earphone comes with your mp3 player or ipod, especially, you need noise cancellation.
1) comfortable, very comfortable, I wear it in sleep and feel great!! shure E3c is better sound quality but no way to use it in sleep..
2) it blows away E2c and sony Ex serials. you have to listen to believe.
3)As traditional Sennheiser earphone line, it provides truthfully reproducing of the recording, no colorful distortion.
4) grab one when price drops to $40. it's totally worth your money. I am thinking to get another one just in case mine is broken.

Strengths: bass, clearity, comfort
Weaknesses: none
Summary: These are an awesome set of in ear headphones! They're made by a very reputable company, have a 3 year warranty and are amazing for the price. I paid $40 @ amazon and you can't beat that price! My brother has the Sony EX-71 and these sound much more crips, better highs/lows and the bass is MUCH tighter. He paid $30 so for $10 these are a bargain. The only problem I might run into is the fact the wires are real thin. This is also good because they're light and don't burden you but they are real skiny.
Other then that there's not any other weakness.

All in all a very good price for $40. Honestly, I'd still buy them at the price of $70 because they're that good.
I also tried the Shure E2C and blah. Even though they're $100 they weren't comfortable and the sound was bad considering the cost.

Tried first time isolation ear buds. Not pleasant ...
Strengths: Not expensive
Weaknesses: Different length of wire to each side
Summary: Tried first time isolation ear buds. Not pleasant experiense. Cannot fully insert into the left ear probably due to some anatomical asymetry. Adequate lows only if inserted firmly.

Strengths: Strong bass, high sensitivity, great produce overall.
Weaknesses: The sleeves don't fit my ears very well.
Summary: I bought this headphone from Amazon when it's on sale for $40, the quality of the product is pretty good. I could hear the statics when plugging it to my computer. I am happy with it although I can't find the proper size of sleeve. I am glad that I grab this piece on sale instead of the e2C! :D

Strengths: Very good bass response. Sound quality is superb. Works fairly well at blocking out ambient noise.
Weaknesses: These earplugs fit directly into the ear canal, so they might feel a little uncomfortable at first. Not meant to be used while working out or moving a lot.
Summary: These earplugs should only be used when the listener is stationary, as you can hear the wires moving around. Overall they sound better than my Sennheiser HD497 cans. Very good value for the money if you use them in the right environment (pretty much sitting or relaxing without much movement).
