I would rather use a noise isolation ear bud to block out noise. As for sound quality, it is at best mediocre. With or without noise cancellation, midrange and highs are muddy and base is lacking. Strengths: Construction, Compactness when folded, Effectiveness, Comfort, Price Weaknesses: Doesn't help global warming... Summary: Creative Labs continues to market great products at great prices. These headphones do a great job and they're comfortable, sturdy, fold up nicely and don't cost an arm and a leg like Bose and other hi-end noise cancelling headphones.
