3 Star ReviewGreat hardware let down by software (make sure your firmware is higher than 3.09)
Strengths: Great design Good sound (for a TV). Detachable speakers. Excellent sound through my HiFi USB & Compact flash
Weaknesses: Poor lip-sync (allegedly fixable by firmware upgrade) Subtitles won't go away (allegedly fixable by firmware upgrade) Software upgrade not on Hyundai website (www.hyundaiq.com) Terrible EPG
Summary: I bought my Q320 after doing lots of research. Sadly it wasn't enough research. Picture quality is good, but this was my first 32 inch display. 32 inches really is enough to see just how bad broadcast images on DVB-T are. There's quite a lot of pixelation on fast moving images, and focus is not too good. Roll-on HDTV. I downloaded some 1080i movies from microsoft, and played them via my PC/VGA - MUCH better pictures.

My real problem with the Q320 was the lip-sync - people would speak...then their lips would move. Delay was between 0.25 to 1.5 seconds. I don't know why....but this is the third DVB-T device I've had with this problem - the others were fixed with firmware updates, but Hyundai don't make it easy to find updates from a reliable source. My TV was running firmware 3.09 (Sept 2006). Various reports hinted that 3.12 fixed the lip-sync problem, others said it was still there on 3.12. By the time you read this, there may be real fixes.

Apparently 3.12 fixed the problem where the subtitles keep coming on, even after they've been switched off. I wasn't brave enough to upgrade the firmware, and risk breaking the warranty.

The Electronic Programme Guide is terrible. This was my 4th DVB-T Freeview device, and the worst EPG. I'm sure that the software developer had never used a TV before !!

Sound quality was really good (for a TV), but much better if played through the HiFi.

My Q320 went back to the retailer.

Great hardware let down by the software. If they fixed the software, I would buy one again, as it was very nice apart from the software.
