ratheen Member Since: Mar 2007 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 10 Days	nice but Strengths: very good zoom crystal clear picture (when using Progresive mode on DVD player) can display very big image (when there is enough distance) Weaknesses: Makes a lot of noise gets very hot light leaks from sides defaults to 4:3 mode when changing some setting on DVD Summary: i expected more from Hitachi, i didnt know it would make so much sound. but when i use it with my home theater you can;t hear it. i had some issues with the edges it does not make a perfect rectangle, i still have to make some changes to the settings 100% of People (1/1) found this review helpful. nostradave2009 Member Since: Oct 2009 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 5 Years	PJ-TX100 Strengths: Excellent for the first 200hours of operation Weaknesses: Guarenteed to fail after 2000 hours of operation Summary: 2009-10-23 20:53:46 Projecter is great for 2000 hours, then almost to the minute @2010hours (when out of warranty) or when the globe is replaced after 2000 hours a blue haze appears on the screen. There is absolutely nothing you can do about it short of replacing the prism lens assembly @ $1800.00 (Aus). Hitachi take no responsibility for this extremely common problem (check the blogs, hundreds of complaints) and simply say " The projector is out of warranty. You will need to pay for the repair yourself". We would suggest, almost all purchasers of this projector, would (and rightly so) expect it to last more than one lamp life, 2000 hours, this is not the case. We recommend to prospective purchasers, CHOOSE ANOTHER BRAND, if you want your projector to last more than 2000 hours buy something else. We fully expect total ignorance of our comments above by Hitachi as they appear to be happy to take your money once and have no interest in your repeat business or word of mouth positive recommendations. h_xd from NC Member Since: Oct 2004 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 3 Days	Good deal on a HD projector Strengths: Native 1280x720, excellent image quality, HDCP support Weaknesses: No HDMI input Summary: I've watched HDDVD and HDTV with this projector, on the wall, only at night. Huge image with great detail and without noticeable distortion. Talk about theatre experience! Feel dizzy if I sit too close. All for only $700! Unfortunately it doesn't have HDMI input.
