Strengths: I was able to get this at Circuit City for $849 after rebate. It is pretty fast after you take off some of the software they give you. The DVD writer is great and so is the screen.
Weaknesses: I ordered more memory to bring the 512 to one gig but didn't receive it yet.
Summary: My son wanted a new laptop for graduating college. He wasn't happy with his Dell which broke a lot. I researched this VAIO and found everyone liked it and so do I. It is pretty fast and the 15.4 screen is fine. It was slow when we first got it but it was also loading a lot of software that had trial subscriptions. Once we eliminated those items it went pretty fast. I wanted a reasonably priced laptop and that is what this is...
