Strengths: price, 6 megapixels, compact size, name brand, uses sd, uses AA, 3x optical zoom Weaknesses: shutter delay, cheap feel, poor screen, image quality Summary: pentax is definitely a good name brand, this camera, however fell short of expectations... the great thing about it is the price... about $150 shipped... but again, as the title claims, you get what you pay for... it takes average pictures at best, but it gives you 6 megapixels... i remember when i bought my first digital camera... it was a fuji and it was only 2mp... it took great pictures, but i paid over $600 for it... later i bought a fuji 1mp entry-level camera for $200 (and that was a cheap price back then) and that actually took better pictures than the pentax e10... i have owned fuji, canon, and casio digital cameras and i'd have to say the canon is by far the best, as a brand, that is... very disappointing with the pentax... but it was only $150... the camera has this cheap feel to it and you couldn't even tell which way to put the batteries in... had to check the manual to make sure... also, there's this ridiculous shutter lag... must be about 1.5 seconds... not good... so, i had low expectations for this budget camera and i'd have to say it didn't even meet them... 1.5 stars... 91% of People (20/22) found this review helpful. Weaknesses: Heats up quickly, eats battery power way too fast, images are hazy / unclear / poor quality overall of display screen and on the computer screen, bad movie sound quality (crackling). Summary: The thing that caught my eye at the store, is the fact that the image quality was quite bad on the display screen. I decided to give it a try and test it at home, uploaded the images to my computer. Their quality confirmed what i saw on the camera display - VERY POOR IMAGE QUALITY!!! The sound of the movies taken cannot be heard through the camera, it can only be heard through your computer / TV. That's another big minus. Plus, once the movie is uploaded the sound quality IS REALLY BAD - has a crackling in the background. The biggest con of this camera: IT EATS BATTERY POWER LIKE CRAZY. At first i fed it with IKEA batteries, it ate them within ONE HOUR OF USE!!! Then i fed it with DURACELL batteries... same story... I AM SHOCKED THAT PENTAX PRODUCED SUCH A LOW QUALITY PRODUCT. THE 6 MEGAPIXELS CERTAINELY DO NOT COMPENSATE FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE. I will return / exchange it ASAP. 90% of People (9/10) found this review helpful. Was this review helpful or unhelpful for you? Good for general use. Weaknesses: Picture quality is not great but okay. I had Nikon earliar and i love nikon camera. I baught it for my brother and it is working fine as price. tomas98064 Member Since: Sep 2006 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 4 Months	Poor focus consistancy Strengths: Small and easy to carry Weaknesses: It sometimes just decides not to focus, pehaps 10% of the time, but still takes a picture (blurry) Summary: Hard to determine how batteries go in. Camera will not focus at all when the batteries are low, and sometimes it wont focus with good batteries. We bought it to get a small camera and because of the name Pentax, and are disappointed in it. It is very small and light so she can just put it in her purse. Has a good screen size that is always helpful in any apparatus. The price is very good for a 6.0 MP camera. I would not recommend the camera to anybody because of the slow speed. It takes literally 3-4 seconds to take one photo. 71% of People (5/7) found this review helpful. I installed the software that came with camera on my computer a Dell. I have not yet been able to get any prints from the camera to my computer. I have a Fuji finepix and it works fine.I am beginning to hate this camera even though it has a larger screen to see pictures on. The instruction manuel is very in complete as how to get pictures to computer. I have connected the usb to the computer and get no results 63% of People (12/19) found this review helpful.
