Pentax E10: you get what you pay for...
Strengths: price, 6 megapixels, compact size, name brand, uses sd, uses AA, 3x optical zoom
Weaknesses: shutter delay, cheap feel, poor screen, image quality
Summary: pentax is definitely a good name brand, this camera, however fell short of expectations... the great thing about it is the price... about $150 shipped... but again, as the title claims, you get what you pay for... it takes average pictures at best, but it gives you 6 megapixels... i remember when i bought my first digital camera... it was a fuji and it was only 2mp... it took great pictures, but i paid over $600 for it... later i bought a fuji 1mp entry-level camera for $200 (and that was a cheap price back then) and that actually took better pictures than the pentax e10...
i have owned fuji, canon, and casio digital cameras and i'd have to say the canon is by far the best, as a brand, that is... very disappointing with the pentax... but it was only $150...
the camera has this cheap feel to it and you couldn't even tell which way to put the batteries in... had to check the manual to make sure... also, there's this ridiculous shutter lag... must be about 1.5 seconds... not good...
so, i had low expectations for this budget camera and i'd have to say it didn't even meet them... 1.5 stars...
