This small radio operates on the same radio frequencies as the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administrations Weather Radio, and thus receives any NOAA and NWR information about severe weather in your area. The radio may be programmed to receive weather tests, warnings, and watches exclusively for your area using your NOAA county code. Seven separate NOAA channels may be programmed into the radio for complete weather coverage. The station can be set to ON for continuous voice messages, STANDBY to only switch on when an alert is issued, MUTE, or OFF for no audible alerts. The large middle line of the display features the time in your choice of twelve or twenty four hour format, and an internal calendar that notes the day of the week in French, Spanish, or English. Two alarms can be set to sound at different times for even more versatility, and the screen can be backlit by LED light when the snooze button is pressed.
