Strengths: It's solar - battery never needs to be changed.
It has daylight savings time setting.
Very durable and able to withstand major abuse.
Has a 30 set data bank - for storing up to 30 names and numbers
Weaknesses: It isn't atomic - meaning it doesn't automatically set the exact time. It is a bit bulky and heavy with all that stainless steel, but is still comfortable to wear - you get used to it quickly.
Summary: 2006-10-01 19:34:57 I spent a good 4 days researching watches, and the Casio G7000D-8V is the one I picked. Pretty much all the G-shock watches are very good, as you will find out after a little searching. I went with this particular watch because it was the most aesthetically pleasing and I liked the way the date was displayed. You can't go wrong with this watch. If you are hard on watches like me, then this watch is your answer. It will take anything you throw at it. Also of note is that if you spend all your day in a building it takes the battery longer to charge (~8hrs - indoor fluorescent lighting) with normal use. Thus, at some time in the day,you could put the watch in direct sunlight and charge it up in like ~5-10 minutes. This watch also has an Auto Light Switch (turns the backlight on automatically whenever you turn your wrist to look at it). You can turn this feature off to save battery usage.
