Big, loud and tempermental
Strengths: This device brews quickly. The blue fluorescent display is classy. If you like stainless, this model delivers; the main body. It it brews a great tating coffee.
Weaknesses: Empty carafe is too light weight and shutdown spring switch pushes it away from main body. Water entry too small. Drip stop didn't work when coffee removed, small dribble enough to annoy.
Summary: I returned this because everything must be just right for this coffee maker to function. The carafe must be placed perfectly. Not one drop more than 10 cups when you fill reservoir or it will overflow. Tile counters are an issue, because the carafe must be leveled perfectly to engage brewer. Too many critical process points must be satisfied or else there will be failure. And for $170, it was awfully loud, on par with a $10 Proctor Silex. At 6 am, this coffee pot demands too much from a dysfunctional half-awake caffeine starved lost soul.
