Strengths: Imaginative play, promotes hand-eye coordination, durable toy

Summary: We have a few of the other Melissa food toys, and my son received this for his birthday. He loves the velcro-ripping sound, and loves to decorate and redecorate and serve to everyone. It can be a little difficult to remove the slices (especially the first piece) as the velcro is pretty strong. We were at first concerned about the paint used in the Melissa food toys since children will naturally put them in the mouth to mimic eating. But having seen their safely statement on their website, I'm pretty assured that the toys are made with the highest standards.
