Strengths: Strong and sturdy with a great price
Weaknesses: Be ready to make your own holes to mount your saw
Summary: This is a great stand. It is sturdy enough to hold 300 pounds and folds down and rolls to an out of the way corner of your work area. I like the large wheels that make it easy to maneuver through uneven terrain and the long supports that slide out for long stock. Rigid claims that any brand of saw can fit but I have found that not to be the case. I have a 10 inch sliding Bosch and a 10 inch Dewalt and for both saws I needed to drill a hole through the table in order to mount it. Not a big deal as far as I'm concerned. The more expensive stands have easy to use clamps rather that this bolt on method but I have found this stand to be just as easy to use. Look for it on sale for under a hundred dollars as it is often marked down to. I recommend this stand to everyone with a miter saw.

Strengths: Easy of operations and versatility
Weaknesses: You can't adjust the table highth.
Summary: This is my first stand and I am very happy that I purchased it 6 days ago. It was so easy to assemble and operate, My 10 year old son has no problem setting it up. Our first project was to build a bookcase and this stand made the job so easy that I am now building a desk. I used it as a table, the miter saw and I also used the stand to router the edges of several planks. I have a super busy schedule that only allows a few hours a day for my wood-working hobbies, with this it is 10 times faster and easier and it allows me more time on my project. I do most of my projects in the driveway so you can imagine setting up 2 saw horse's and wood planks, now I have a sturdy platform that folds down and rolls to an out of the way corner of my garage. The long supports that slide out for long stock make it so easy I can cut angles with no assistance. Look for it on sale, I recommend this stand to anyone who doesn't have it already.

Strengths: Well made
Weaknesses: Locking latch is finicky
Summary: I attached this to a Hitachi C10FSB saw. There was some initial assembly involved, but nothing that elicited grunts and curses. If anything, it was fun to put this together. Based on the recommendation of another MSUV user, before drilling the two holes extra needed to mount me saw, I first swung and slided the saw to the limits of its motions before finalizing its mounting spot. I then made sure that the holes I drilled did not go into a crossmember. Then I mounted it and bolted it down with the provided bolts. I was able to use one of the predrilled holes.

When using this, it is fairly straightforward after the first few tries. But be warned, just when you think it might be locked into place, it might not be. Fortunately the shock keeps it from collapsing completely. There is a squeeze lever that needs to be completely engaged in order to lock it into position, so that needs to be considered.

This is a great saw stand, and probably can be used for other than a miter saw, such as a table saw.

Strengths: Sturdy, Portability, Maneuverability
Weaknesses: Bolt hole pattern, Footprint, Weight
Summary: This one of the best miter saw stands I have seen or owned. It is rated to hold 300 lbs but it looks and feels like it could hold much more (the stand is very heavy). I have a 12" Porter-Cable Compound miter saw mounted to this stand. Setup out of the box was amazingly simple but having a helper would better than assembling alone. The existing bolt hole pattern was not even close for my saw. Though a small inconvenience, you can easily drill out the pattern unique to your particular saw. Once mounted and in position, the saw and stand can be wheeled into your desired location even over rough terrain with the large rubber wheels. With the adjustable roller supports the stand provides up to 8 feet of workpiece support. Another small weakness is the amount of space this stand takes up when fully extended - again, this is a large, heavy-duty support for your miter saw. An advantage is that you can fold the miter stand up with your saw still attached for storage and the footprint is much smaller. Although this stand is relatively large and heavy it is also very portable and incredibly sturdy. Overall, I highly recommend the Ridgid miter saw stand and utility vehicle - especially for the $99 that I paid for it.

Strengths: Portable tubular frame. Can store the miter saw upright in a corner. Quick set up.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I use this product rarely. It's a well thought out device and I consider it the best stand on the market. It frees up a tremendous amount of garage space. No other brand even comes close. This item will last a lifetime.

Strengths: Price. Ease of set up. Ease of use. High quality. Three year warrenty.
Weaknesses: The extensions need repositioning when used in loose soil.
Summary: Boy was I please at this purchase. I had been looking for a while to find a miter saw stand and had looked at all in my area and also on line. Many were either too expensive or too flimsy. I read several reviews of the stand and had decided to plunk down the $149.99 at Home Depot. The day I went to the store to purchase, the stand was on special for $99.99!! Wow, was I extra pleased. So pleased that I bought another for my son in law!

I could hardly wait to get it home and set it up and start finishing my deck project. So much nicer than working on the ground with my saw. It was very easy to set up and I had no problem attatching the saw. The extensions worked very well. I was in loose soil so I just placed a board under each leg to support it better. Worked like a charm. Adjusting the stand was very easy as well as closing it down at the end of the day. The pneumatic tube helped ease the weight with the set up and tear down. It moved easily over some rough spots and stored upright in about a 2 ft by 2 ft space with the saw attached. This is important to me because of a lack of space in my garage. I did extensive research both in the stores and on the internet before purchasing the stand. For the price and quality it can't be beat!

I am very pleased and I know that my son in law will be also as he starts building his house this summer.
