Can be taken apart to clean. Weaknesses: Although it was designed to be taken apart for cleaning, it was somewhat tricky to take the internal grinder apart. Summary: The grinder is noticeably heavier than most products on the market. It is also noticeably more expensive. But, if your picky about the coffee you grind this is a good buy. The ground coffee has a consistent grind and the grinder imparts very little static electricity or heat on the grinds resulting in much less mess. My previous grinder would create a very clumpy grind that would stick to the sides of the bin. I had to vigorously tap on the bin to get all the coffee out, usually creating quite a mess. Very uniform grind on all settings from Turkish to Coarse. Like the weight of the chrome unit. Love no static electricity & the uniform grind. Fantastic Grinder! Weaknesses: None that I am aware of. Summary: This is a fantastic grinder. Quiet, no noticeable static electricity, very uniform grind in all settings from Turkish fine to coarse. Highly recommend. Great looking also. The chromed unit has very nice weight and unit does not move, vibrate or rattle. Very well built. Grinds at a very low speed so there is not heat build up. Great all the way around. You won't be sorry if you own one and probably will not bother to try other grinders like I have done. A grinder is very important to quality coffee making and this one fill all needs. I also have their Capresso MT 500 plus 10 cup coffee maker and it is wonderful also. Brews very slowly but under 8 minutes.
