Strengths: Easy setup, competitive price

Summary: The call center does the job as it's advertised. The installation is easy and intuitive. Windows recognized the device right away, and no tricky things confusing. The voice quality is good. Tried both on cell phone and land line and the result has been satisfactory.

 VoSKY Call Center will not work w/current or recent versions of SKYPE Strengths: Probably worked at some time in the past
Weaknesses: Will not work with current or recent versions of software. Technical support completely incompetent.
Summary: At this point in time this device should be considered completely unsupported/unsupportable.
Given past reviews I'm sure this product actually worked with the proper combination of older SKYPE software & older VoSKY software. The current version of VoSKY Call Center Software (2.1) will NOT work with recent versions (3.2 & above) of SKYPE. While I got it to work for a short time with SKYPE 3.1.0.152, it eventually hangs the computer (Windows XP) &, as is widely reported, the VoSKY Call Center Software will always reset the SKYPE audio-in & audio-out devices to the incorrect settings (they should be AUDIO IN = Actiontec Voice Gateway 1 & AUDIO OUT = VoSKY Call Center).
Actiontec/VoSKY is blaming the problem on SKYPE making changes to their software, though this device is only useable with that software!!
Actiontec has a history of bringing innovative devices to market (e.g. their "call waiting" modem) which work very well until new releases of software or operating systems render the devices non-functional. They eventually abandon the products, leaving the consumer with worthless hardware.

Strengths: Easy installation; Seamless integration with Skype; Compact size with no seperate power adapter needed
Weaknesses: Voice quality is not as good as PC speakers/headset; Could not get it to work with Windows Vista; Answering machine does not allow customized greeting
Summary: Bought this a couple of months ago and have been pretty pleased with it so far. I have connected it to a cordless phone so I can talk or answer skype calls from anywhere in the house. The remote internet calling feature is quite useful in that I can call in to my home no from office and after a few rings, VoSKY will pick up the call and allow me to connect to my Skype contacts. Its saved me a bunch of $$ for my overseas calls.
A gripe I have is that I could not find a way to customize the greeting so if I enable remote internet calling and someone else calls up, they will hear the prerecorded Vosky greeting which is quite annoying.

Strengths: I have been using the Vosky Call center for about over 4 months. It is great to make free calls using Skype. It is small in size and performs great. It can be taken while traveling.
Weaknesses: Every once in a while I get dropped calls.
Summary: Vosky is a great tool to make calls on the internet using regular telephone handset. Vosky is a great product and very light weight easy to travel with and make calls using Skype.

 VoSky Call Manager Strengths: - Easy to setup
- Good quality voice menu
- Nice voice mail system
Weaknesses: - Connection to computer dies abruptly
- Cannot provide a list of Skype users
- Requires a PC to be on at all times
Summary: The VoSky Call Manager is a very simple tool that does deliver the ability to call using Skype, however, it lacks the ability to tell you who is on. I use it to make international calls from my cell phone and it works great, but I need to dial back in after every call and I have to remember the Skype speed dial number for the person I want to call. That is tough. It also does not allow you to dial a phone number directly into Skype. This makes this product usable but lacks the things people actually need to do to be productive.

Strengths: Easy setup, excellent voice quality & echo cancellation
Weaknesses: Pc must be turned on to use this device
Summary: I bought this device to make PC international calls. The setup took only few mins. The call quality is awesome!! When my Skype buddy calls me, my phone rings and even displays my buddy name in the caller id. It is just like answring my phone, so easy to pick up Skype incoming calls. Making calls is so easy too!! Pick up the phone and dial a pre-assigned speed dial number and automatically it calls my Skype buddy. This device gives me so much freedom, now I don't have to sit in front of my computer and talk. In fact, I can call all my skype buddies even while away from my house. It is an awesome product, I am glad I got this one.

Strengths: Easy setup
Weaknesses: sound quality could have been better
Summary: I have been using this for a few weeks now and I must say that I cannot live without this when using Skype. I use my regular phone connected to this box and call my friends who are also using Skype (and a headset). After hearing about my setup, they are eager to buy this equipment. I've not tried calling any landlines yet, and also not tried any other advanced features.

Strengths: Easy setup, Call forwarding, play voice mail on PC. No need for another power adapter!
Weaknesses: voice quality is not as good as USB handset. PC has to be on all the way
Summary: Nice gadget for those like to have a lot of chat but hate cell phone minutes. Skype will be your choice. And for those who also don't like to be bonded to your PC by the cord, this is a must have. Feel free to use any phone available at home.
Easy set up, no hickup for me at all. install the software, plugin to the wall and your phone start to ring... Call forward feature is very useful but need a bit patience to figure out the setup.
Oh yeah, it's all USB powered so there's no need to have another power adapter -- I really hate those adapters, have 3 surge protector in my office still not enough for those bulky adapters...
One thing I do notice is that this product's voice quality is not as clear as my USB Handset... not sure if it's my phone jack's problem or this little box's.
PC must be one all the way... it's going to be painful to watch how the electricity reading run... If PC gets into standby mode, this thing dies... why don't ActionTec integreate the software into this CallCenter device, to make it truely great...

VOSKY CALL CENTER OK.
Strengths: YOU CAN CALL HOME FROM ANOTHER PHONE AND MAKE FREE SKYPE CALLS.
Weaknesses: SOUND IS OK BUT,I PREFER TO USE MY USB SKYPE HAND-HELD AT HOME. SOUNDS BETTER.
Summary: I THINK THIS IS A GOOD PRODUCT FOR SOMEONE OUT OF HOME A LOT AND NEEDS TO MAKE A LOT OF FREE SKYPE CALLS. THAT'S THE GOOD PART OF THIS DEAL.

Strengths: Easy to set up, Great voice quality, Reasonable price after MIR
Weaknesses: Computer needs to be on all the time
Summary: I have used this device to make calls using Skype VOIP service. I have also tried other USB phones for the same purpose, but this enables you to be free to make a call using regular phone set. The quality of voice is good. If Skype continues free calls next year to landlines in US and Canada, it will be money well spent.

Cannot be used on secured PC
Strengths: Ease to setup, good quality
Weaknesses: Can be used with single-user unsecured Windows environment.
Summary: If you have more than one account in your computer or you have one, but protected with a password, this Call Center will be useless. You need to login to your account to use Call Center, which is impossible thru the phone call. The only way to use it is to login to your PC account remotely and than starts to make calls. I called support and they confirme that this unit works only this way.

Strengths: Easy installation.
Weaknesses: Need a dedicated USB port.
Summary: This box is different from other skype products. It transfers calls to your home phone and cell phones. It comes with a very useful software as well. The quality is pretty good. The thing that I don't like is it needs a dedicated usb port, you can't connect it to a usb Hub.

Strengths: Simplicity, ease of use: Does everything you could possible want with Skype including call forwarding, notification, reuuse of existing home line
Weaknesses: Requires always on PC.
Summary: Rarely do you find something that works this well out of the box. In the simpleset usage model; you connect this to the PC USB port and any standard phone to it; and make and receive skype calls using the phone. If you route your landline through this instrument; it gives you access to both your landline and skype calls on one phone. Included software even allows using your PC as an answering machine. Can setup up the landline to call any forwading number (eg your cell phone) after a certain number of rings. All you pay is the cost to dial your cell phone from the landline. You can call your home phone from any phone; and connect to this skype server by entering a code - and now you can make skype calls from wherever you are. If the cobtact is offline, you can have skype call you back automatically when the contact comes online. All this for free; all you need is the home PC to be on to use the features. Might as well reuse a home media PC for this. But waht is most amazing is how easy it is even for a novice to setup any or all of these features using this instrument.

Summary: Because I purchased the Skype In and out service, I bought this item to connect to the regular phone. This small device worked well both in Skype in and out. I felt the voice quality is ok but not as good as my USB headset.

Strengths: Ease of use, sound quality
Weaknesses: You cannot check your contacts' online status
Summary: This is a great tool if you want to make calls with Skype - allows using your landline (or Vonage, in my case) along with Skype. I had a few hiccups during installation, but they were mostly due to Skype. The sound quality is excellent. I would definitely recommend this box.
