Strengths: Satellite reception, geocaching mode, USB interface
Weaknesses: Manual data entry
Summary: I did extensive research on the best GPS unit for the lowest price, and this unit was at the top of the list. It has a highly sensitive chipset and external antenna for better satellite reception. It has Geocaching mode, and the USB cable interface, which allows direct download of waypoints. This might sound like an extra frill, but entering data using the rocker pad can be time consuming. Direct downloading saves a lot of time, and eliminates errors. I decided on the Cx instead of the CSx because the only difference was the CSx has a barometric altimeter and electronic compass. I had done some reading that stated that the compass was useless, and the altimeter could be thrown off by bad weather. I couldn't see paying an extra 30+ dollars for something I didn't need. I have had the unit for a week now, and I love it. I can see myself sticking with this one until it breaks, or there is a substantially better product out there. Hopefully, that will be many years from now.

Strengths: Size, exceptional acquisition of satellites, ability to autoroute for car navigation
Weaknesses: Back cover for battery case doesn’t seem like it latches tight, Garmin’s maps are really expensive!
Summary: I’ve used a few handheld GPS units over the years, and I’m very happy with this unit so far. I do a lot of geocaching, and am impressed with how accurate the GPS has been with leading me right to the spot. Of course, having the proper mapping software is necessary to get maximum use, and this is costly! The autorouting feature supposedly only works with the newer versions of Garmin’s street maps, although I was able to get the autorouting to work with older mapping software after doing some research online. I think it does a nice job in the car, and it will give you warning beeps and flash text on the screen when you need to turn. So far, so good!

Strengths: Easy to use and good documentation. Good reception indoors. Sturdy design. Color screen is great. PC interface is great and software is easy to use to manage waypoints.
Weaknesses: If there are any it would be that there are alot of menus and settings that could confuse new users.
Summary: Very good handheld GPS. I would feel comfortable using it for hunting, ATV exploring or on the road. Plenty of features. Be sure to practice with it over a familiar route to get used how it presents navigation info. Lots of page and setup options.

Strengths: Size and ease of use, fantastic satilite aquisition under any kind of cover or deep canyons. Will even aquire indoors.
Weaknesses: I can't think of any, just a very good GPS. I would like to see it improved as far as water proofing. The unit is some what water proof and i've had mine wet breifly with no problems.
Summary: I've owned several other handheld units and they would all struggle to keep a signal under heavy foilage, not this one.The new high sensitivity reciever is great!!! Highly recommend this unit to anyone. You won't be disappointed.
