1 Star ReviewVery very disappointed
Strengths: Great picture, easy to set up....
Weaknesses: TV broke after a few months
Summary: At first I was very satisfied with the picture quality, etc.

Then, just after 3 months or so, there were MAJOR issues with the TV. After a few hours of continuous use, the picture would go crazy; looking like old time scrolling film strips, all vertical lines and color bars. Then the screen would go mostly BLACK, with white vertical lines and stripes. It happened once or twice then didn't happen for a while. Another couple of months later, and it was

happening every week or so. Then every other day. Now it happens sometimes 3 or 4 times A DAY! The tv must be turned off, allowed to rest or whatever, then when you turn it back on several minutes later, it's back to normal. A couple hours later, same thing all over again.

Annoying and frustrating doesn't even come close to explaining how PO'ed I am about this.

I paid $1000 for this TV!

Norcent's return policy STINKS! there are NO local authorized dealers or repair places outside of CALIFORNIA.

The stores that sell these TVs won't allow returns or replacements. (I know why, now)

NORCENT is horrible when it comes to replying to email or website contact.

They FINALLY sent me the RMA forms to return with the tv (to california) and the files they sent to copy and return were "corrupted" and could not be opened. I am STILL waiting to hear from them again. When you call on the phone they run you around through the voice mail menu and you get nowhere, then they disconnect you.

This has turned into a VERY UNSATISFACTORY situation

with Norcent. I will never, ever, EVER purchase another product from them again. DON'T BUY IT!

1 Star ReviewHorrible TV!!!
Strengths: None
Weaknesses: EVERYTHING!
Summary: This TV was the worst thing I have ever spent money on!! Norcent has the worst customer service ever!! This TV was purchased 5 months ago brand new and we have had nothing but problems. About 2 months after purchasing, everything turned green. Well, it stopped after a month and then a month later it happened again and has not gotten any better, only worse! Now it is to the point there is no picture at all. just lines of color. When you call they just tell you what they will do and then hang up, then they never send the emails they say they will. I have once again contacted them and still have not heard from them. WARNING! DO NOT BUY!!! Invest in a brand that you have dealt with before and been satisfied with. This TV may be cheap but you get what you paid for!

Strengths: Excellent Video Quality Great Variety of Connection Types Great Value
Weaknesses: Gets Hot
Summary: Ever since i hooked up this tv it has been a non stop thrill to use everyday. First off let me say that this lcd hdtv has the best specifications you can find on any lcd hdtv. I saw a sony with the same specs selling for 2500 dollars. This tv looks fantastic. I hooked up my xbox 360 through the component input and it looks marvelous the high brightness and contrast ratio really shine when using it with my 360. (the previous poster must have gotten a bad unit) I hooked my laptop up via the vga connection and my desktop via the dvi connection. So I could watch dvds and movies from my laptop or desktop on my tv!! I also play call of duty 2 on it with absolutely no blurriness. The cable input is so simple, however i strongly recommend getting an hdtv cable box, because i tried using the standard one with this tv and it looked mediocre because the signal coming in was not HD, but once i installed the hdtv cable box it looked superb. Switching between inputs on the remote is incredibly simple. You simply cannot find an lcd hdtv that has better performance or a better price. I spent weeks researching tvs and this one was wat i decided on. I went with quality and competitive pricing over name brands that can let u down.

There is only one problem ive had with it. With that being said let me say, it might just be because of my lifestyle. However, i have noticed that if i leave it on for more then 2-3 hours my room heats up. I do keep my windows closed so their isnt much ventilation. The screen also gets quite warm during periods of extended use. Maybe it is my fault because i live in a bubble?

The bottom line is that this lcd hdtv is the best investment you can make. It has top-of-the-line quality and performance and its incredibly inexpensive to boot! you simply cannot go wrong.

Strengths: Non-reflective screen and all its features
Weaknesses: NON
Summary: While the name is not popular, I choose to be the guinea pig for this TV/monitor. At first glance the display is brilliant, bright and detailed. Just plug it in and watch it come to life. There is no need to adjust anything. Movies come out beautiful on SD. Can’t wait to try out it out on HD. 1366X768 was achieved with no problem on DVI with my XFX 5600 256MB video card. Hooked in my XBOX and, and I, I (I’m stuttering, LOL)I couldn’t believe I denied myself this kind I detail. It really makes a difference and I’m glad to make this decision. Kudos to Norcent for beautiful product, Hope the quality lasts its life time.

Strengths: Picture quality and viewing angle are outstanding. No blur on fast movement. Very easy to set up.
Weaknesses: No HDMI so need to use DVI for video and mini-jack for audio. Not a lot of picture controls in setup.
Summary: Setup was extemely easy and have 1 HD DirecTV H20 receiver hooked up to the DVI input, 1 non-HD DirecTV TIVO receiver hooked up to AV input and a DVD player hooked up to component input. All inputs work great as well as PIP feature. I was easily able to program my Home Theater Master MX-500 remote by having it learn the buttons from the Norcent remote. Excellent value for money spent.

3 Star ReviewNot perfect but good for the price
Strengths: excellent picture quality for stills and normal motion for most colors. All of the features most people require. Decent sound if you don't want a sound system but I recommend a subwoofer.
Weaknesses: some colors are slower than others causing distortion on fast-action scenes. Very small company, emails bounce back because their inbox is full; web site is a year outdated. See more below.
Summary: 2006-03-31 17:17:38 The nice thing about this model is that it's the only 32" widescreen LCD that will almost perfectly fit in my entertainment center. The other 32" LCD models are far too wide for it because those models have speakers on each end of the screen, while Norcent put them under the screen. Wise!

If you leave the balance in the middle, you won't hear all of the sound channels, and for one sitcom show I watched, this meant the only people I could hear was the audience and/or canned laughter. UNTIL I moved the sound balance to off-center. Unfortunately, I could not eliminate the audience sound.

The screen does get quite warm but not HOT. It's enough to heat the room over time. I don't use it more than 4 hours a day and I don't mind that it doesn't have control codes for universal remotes, or satellite codes. The picture for stills and slow-motion is superb, but ghosting is really noticeable sometimes and it causes distorted images such as twisted faces and parts of objects moving while other parts don't move as quickly. When that doesn't happen, you may see multiple ghosting lines (outlines) where an object that is moving fast used to be on the screen.

This is a fact of life for most LCD TVs/Monitors so if it will bother you, look for it on a store model before you buy and consider plasma or CRT technology instead of LCD. Overall, this is a great HDTV capable LCD TV, but for the money I would consider a paying a little more for plasma or saving $ by sticking with CRT technology a little longer. Get an HDTV or HD-capable since everything else will be obsolete in 2 years. Consider your local Fred Meyer, Target etc. where you can see and try before you buy. If you are fine with the LCD problems I have mentioned, then this is a great TV for you.

Strengths: Excellent value for the money; great color, very high contrast ratio, lots of connections
Weaknesses: Less than perfect backlighting; dark color response not perfect
Summary: First off let me say that I am very pleased overall with this unit. Broadcast HDTV, DVDs, and Playstation2 games look *amazing*, especially if they contain a lot of bright colors. I've connected my laptop to it and enjoy using it with a wireless keyboard as a "skunkworks" media-center PC. Great place to view digital photos, etc. The contrast ratio is intense--sometimes this thing is almost too bright (like I'm going to get a suntan in my living room). What a great value--I paid under $900, including shipping.

There are two negatives: 1) When the TV is first powered on, the backlighting sources are highly visible in the corners of the screen. This seems to disappear after the set has been on about 20 mins, but initially you can see this "gradient" if you are watching an image that has a lot of black/dark color in it. Like I said, after about 20 min, it seems to go away and the black/dark distribution is mostly even.

2) The pixel response for dark/muted colors seems somewhat slower (a few milliseconds) than with bright colors. For example, if a person is wearing a dark grey suit, the suit will seem to "phase shift" around the person slightly as they're walking. I've noticed this particularly on "The Office" DVD (British). Let me qualify this by saying that 99% of people will probably not notice this--I'm a detail freak. My wife hasn't noticed this, for example.

I can't speak to durability--only had it one month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The specs are at least as good as $1,500+ sets out there. Again, overall I'm thrilled with this set; it's puts off a really impressive picture. AND I love the fact that it's **BLACK** and not freakin' that annoying silver color that distracts you from the picture! If you have unlimited funds, you could likely find a better 32" HDTV. But for value, get this set!

Strengths: PRICE!! Beutiful picture - Can be seen perfectly from any angle. Many connection options. Nice wire covers.
Weaknesses: ummm.... I can't think of anything else i would want in a TV. None!!
Summary: I had never heard of Norcent before starting my research into buying an LCD TV. I read some positive reviews, so i figured i could not go wrong for the price. Man was i right! I absolutely love this TV. Possibly the best TV i ever owned, but time will tell... My friends and family are shocked when i tell them i paid less than $900 delivered! Well, actually i paid less than $1800 delivered because i bought TWO!

Stop looking and start buying... don't deprive yourself of another day without this set! BTW - I purchased the Philips HTS3400D/37 Home theater system to go with this.... perfect match-up

2 Star ReviewBrought the set based on the last 2 good reviews
Strengths: cheap.
Weaknesses: component inputs show only purple and it's so pale looking
Summary: I thought I would take my chance based on the good reviews but maybe the unexpected did happen to me that the component video inputs are supposed to yield the best picture but it turns out the opposite. You probably ask, did you have the cabling wrong? No sir, I tried 3 different DVD players with component cababilities already, all of them are the same result with careful inspection of matching cables. I have not tried VGA and DVI yet because I don't have the adapters. Regular RCA inputs and TV tuning are fine. If I could do it again, I would have paid more for something else without to deal with calling the manufacture. By the way, pressing the technical support option for the support line comes up as INVALID OPTION.

Strengths: Great picture quality for a cheap price. DVI and VGA input, great use with PC connection. The look is nice and simple. Easy to use.
Weaknesses: Remote Control response is slow. LCD gets hot real quick. Recommend to shut of power everytime not in use.
Summary: I wasn't too optimistic about purchasing a non-brand name LCD, but with it's low cost, I couldn't resist. I was very surprise that it was actually not a bad LCD. The picture quality was very clear and bright. It has many inputs, including the DVI and VGA inputs...great for PC connection. The only thing that bothered me was how slow the remote control response was and how the LCD gets hot real quick. But for its price, it was something I can overlook. Overall, I was satisfied. If you're looking for a low budget LCD...this is the one to look for.

Strengths: price,picture,sound,looks......
Weaknesses: The RF cable that came with the product...
Summary: This TV is a nice addition to my living room. I am truly amazed!!! The HD video looks awesome and the analog video looks very good. The picture and sound quality are better than some of the more expensive, well known brands. It comes with a very simplistic user manual. Very easy to read. So far, I am very pleased with this product.

Strengths: Good picture, nice cabinet, plenty of inputs.
Weaknesses: No HDMI No codes to program my universal remote
Summary: I had the chance to talk with the CEO of Norcent at Comdex. The company is owned (in part) by the Chinese government with the charter to be the "Sony of China".

I bought mine from Buy.com for like $900 including shipping. I mounted it on the wall and have been very happy. I haven't noticed the heating others have commented about. My biggest concern is that it will fail because I don't know how good their warranty coverage will be.

I'm also really scared it'll fall off the wall during an earthquake. :(

3 Star ReviewI love the TV because of it's looks, it's beautifu ...
Strengths: great picture, awesome sound, crisp, bright, better picture than the Sony actually. BUT...
Weaknesses: If you have a satellite dish, forget it. Norcent has NO CODES for this set, there fore you have to use a remote control for the satellite and one for the power and audio on the lcd.
Summary: I love the TV because of it's looks, it's beautiful picture, it's brightness and contrast are gorgeous. The surround sound is wonderful. Everything is great about this LCD. The downside is that satellite remotes, universal home theater remotes, do NOT work with the 32" LT-3222, very, very disappointing. Buy it ONLY if you don't have satellite.
