Strengths: Sound, comfort, weight & size
Weaknesses: None noted
Summary: I have not had much success with other Bluetooth headsets and my Treo 650 bu the JX10 is a different story. AS most Treo 650 users know the Bluetooth implementation is a little weaker than other phones. However, the JX10 works very well with the Treo. It is very light and comfortable to wear. In fact, I can wear mine for the better part of a day with no discomfort. The volume of the headset is good and has been enhanced by using a Jabra mini-ear gel that 'funnel' the sound to my ear canal. The reception on the other end has received its compliments, thanks the DSP circuitry. Overall, this is a great headset

Jabra JX10 Review
Strengths: Lightweight and small. Ease of use. Long battery life. easy to hear. Charging stand and USB kit.
Weaknesses: Plastic ear clip, background noise, small buttons
Summary: 2006-08-31 22:35:24 I have had this for a few weeks now and listed below are some of the things that I noted:
1. THis is a lightweight design and I found it to be of no fatigue when wearing it for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. However, I felt a slight discomfort where the earbud rests on the ear for more than two hours.
2. The sound quality is very good for person wearing the device but not so good for the other party. The background noise that is tranmitted to the recieving party is very loud and made it difficult for the other person to hear me. Even when in a quiet room, the typing sounds (produced by an engineer- who sits in the next office over) were picked up as well as multiple background conversations. It is quite frequent that I hear someone make a comment in regards to the noise.
3. THe call / answer button works very good and is ergonomically located in position unlike the volume buttons. These are located behind the ear and, they are very small and somewhat difficult to adjust.
4. The molded plastic ear clip is of poor design and lends itself to breaking early on. This design uses two very thin, right angled ends to attach to the earpiece. These snap into slots on the ear bud and, are prone to break very easily when changing from left ear to right ear. I had read about this prior to buying and thought that if I was very carefull it would not break on me. Such was not the case. In my first attempt to remove it and swap it to the other position, one end snapped off. Luckily there was an extra one included.
5. The battery life was very good on mine. I found that I could go two full days of use before running out of power.
Summary: Overall, this is good device with long battery life and is lightweight. The mic needs be relocated someplace else than facing directly forward and right on the end where the wind blows right across it similar to a flute. The ear clip needs to be redesigned as well and the buttons could be located in better position. I will be replacing this device soon.
UPDATED 8-31-06 This unit did not survive the So Cal heat and the top cover literally came un-glued and seperated from the sides. Now the unit produces static and, it unpairs from my phone even when it is right next to it It is hit or miss with these things. Some times it is clear and sometimes it is terrible. I have tried three others and all exhibited the same symptoms. Mind you, I was on various phones as well as mine to see whether or not my phone had anything to do with it. A friend of mine stated that his headset also has noise issues and connectivity issues. I think that in part it is the Bluetooth technology that's not up to where it should be. Heck, I can walk outside on a cordless phone more than 100' where as with bluetooth I am lucky to make it 5 feet without crackling. one would think that it would be easy to achieve solid clear signals.

Strengths: Size, Range, Clairity
Weaknesses: Fit (might just be me), somewhat complicated button system
Summary: It's as small as they say which is nice. It can be stored just about anywhere without being bulky. The ear clip is nicely moldable to hold onto your ear well. I don't feel it fits me well but I don't fear losing it with a head turn like I did with an old Motorola 850, and to be honest I feel most ear bud/ear phones don't fit me well. I found it easy to pair to my phone (Verizon XV6700) and the range has been good for me, but I don't tend to walk away from my phone much. The buttons are well placed and easy to get to (only three main buttons), but using them is a bit confusing as the main button has multiple uses depending on how long you hold it. I consistently have trouble getting it to connect to my phone if it's off when I receive a call but then want to use the headset. There's a three second hold to turn on the unit, a greater than one second hold to do other stuff (redial), a quick click to pick up and hang up... Maybe there could have been a second button to distribute the load of functions? Incoming call clarity has been perfect, though as it sits a bit far away from my ear (see earlier comments about my fit issues) it often sounds a bit quiet. I use it almost exclusively in my car so ambient noise is always an issue. Even so, with few exceptions callers or call recipients have had very few problems hearing me when using the headset.

Strengths: Light, easy to use, high quality, very nice charging stand, includes convenient USB charging cable for the road
Weaknesses: Volume could be higher
Summary: I'm very pleased with the JX10 Bluetooth Headset. I keep my phone in a front pocket and it isn't affected by this. I think it's the lightest, highest quality, and easiest to use bluetooth headset available.

Strengths: small compact size, duration between charges
Weaknesses: noise during windy conditions (nothing new to headset users)
Summary: General -- This is my first bluetooth headset. Decided on this model after reading numerous online reviews. A little more expensive than some, but the wonderful size was a much more attractive feature than a few extra dollars. I'm using it with a VZW BB 7250.
Hearing the other party -- The earhook can make it a tad uncomfortable for long conversations, so I tend to use it without the ear hook (the earbud stays firm enough in place to use while walking or moving around). Hearing the other side is perfect indoors, and with the volume up high is fine outdoors as well.
Other party hearing you -- The mic works fine (in fact it might work a bit too fine, see last comment below), and the other party can hear you just fine. Again in a quiet environ, it's wonderful, but in a noisy environ, it does pick up the other sounds from the surrounding area. Yesterday on a con call (taking from DEN airport), I asked if others could hear me, and they said "yes, but we can hear that screaming baby even better" (the kid was at least 100 feet away). It's a similar prob with any headset (wired or wireless), so this is no worse.
Charge -- The kit comes with both USB and 110, so you can either plug into your LT or if your LT is already shut down for the night, plug into the wall. The USB is just a short cord, so easy to keep in your LT bag. The 110 plug includes a stylish brushed gray metal stand, so left on your desk it reminds you to plug it in for a recharge. You can use the 110 plug with the stand or directly with the headset. The charge length lasts for several days, so not something you need to do every day.
Summary -- Given current technology, totally happy. If could eliminate far away sound that would be super, but that's what a mute button is for, especially on those con calls where you're doing a little talking, and lots of listening. Would buy again.

Strengths: Battery Life, Design, Voice Quality, Voice Clarity, etc.
Weaknesses: Range, Comfort
Summary: This is probably my first and last bluetooth headset. Before purchasing I made sure to ask a friend for suggestions. He had tried nearly every headset that our local Best Buy carries and said this was by far the best. So far I love it, with the exception of the comfort it offers. I can't wear it longer than an hour without it causing a lot of discomfort to my ear. However I just read that the Jabra ear gels may offer a more comfortable solution, so I will purchase some of those tomorrow and hopefully that will fix the problem. Other than that, the range sucks, but I'm going to blame it on my XV6700 as opposed to the headset, I reckon it's just a weak signal from my phone.

Strengths: Crystal clear sound, light weight, very discreet
Weaknesses: JX-10 had static while my phone was in its holster, even if the phone was on the same side of the body as the Jabra.
Summary: 2006-07-30 07:10:01 I did a review of the JX-10 awhile back and gave it 2 stars because it was plagued with static (on my end). I extremely disappointed the JX-10 didn’t perform for me, to the same standards so many reported in their glowing commentaries. After going without a Bluetooth headset for a time, I began to reflect on the good qualities I did experience. I jumped at the opportunity to purchase another JX-10 when the price dropped. I am happy to proclaim the JX-10 is as good as others have reported! Beware, the second unit I purchased a was defective and had to be exchanged, which led me to believe the first unit I purchased, a month or two ago, may have also been defective. I would go as far as saying, if your JX-10 doesn't immediately exceed your expectations in performance, call Jabra customer service for support or exchange the unit. You may find this information important: My provider is Sprint and my phone model is the Samsung A900. I’m glad I gave the JX-10 a second (third) chance because it is truly an extremely high-end, high quality Bluetooth headset. Go get yours now!

Strengths: The #1 positive attribute of this bluetooth earpiece has to be the size and weight!
Weaknesses: Some echo and feedback on other end.
Summary: I've owned and tried 8 different earpieces and this is by far the most comfortable & lightweight bluetooth earpiece on the market. Of course, that's probably why its also the most expensive. Pricegrabber.com had the best deal, saving me over $100. The biggest disadvantage in my opinion is that some of my callers complain of hearing echo or excessive background noise. I've had to turn off my device mid-call 1/3 of the time in the car. I believe this to be environment issues and not necessarily a problem with the device. I would definitely recommend this product and once the price drops I predict you'll see this Jabra product become the standard bluetooth accessory.

Strengths: Comfort - almost unaware it's there. Simplicity of controls to receive calls and adjust sound while wearing. Sound quality of receive and send is excellent. Operating time seems endless. Quantum leap from earlier Jabra models. This is my third Jabra
Weaknesses: In jest, it' so small I might have difficulty finding it.
Summary: This is the third Jabra blue tooth I've owned. While satisfied with the first two, I was reminded by weaknesses in comfort or design that I should consider something else. I can't imagine that happening with this model. The JX10 has it all: form, fit and function. Seems almost invisible, yet easy to control despite micro size -- very intuitive. It fits so comfortably and is so light, I literally can forget it's there. It slips on so easily and functions so flawlessly, I doubt I'll ever consider another model.

Strengths: small size, light weight, good battery life
Weaknesses: small size-people with large fingers may find controls harder to adjust, ear clip easy to break-Jabra provides free replacements
Summary: After having tried Nokia, Motorola and Ericsson Bluetooth headsets and having major issues with all of them I decided to try the Jabra JX10. The headset paired easily with my Palm Treo and stays paired, something the Nokia has a hard time doing. Sound quality is excellent, both on my end and the callers. The Ericsson and Motorola headsets had sound quality issues. Quality of construction is exceptional, except for the ear clip. My clip broke after several days. A quick call on Jabras's 800 number service line got two free replacements on the way. The replacements seem built better or maybe my original clip was defective in manufacture. I highly recommend this BT headset.

Strengths: Size, looks great, Works too!
Weaknesses: Can't think of any
Summary: This is my first bluetooth headset (well, the first one I decided to keep anyway). I bought this to go with my Verizon Razr V3c phone. I originally had my eyes set on the Motorola H700, but when Motorola themselves warned me that there have been issues with this headset and CDMA network phones, I sadly walked away. But then I found this Jabra headset and happy days are here again. Not only does this headset look amazing, it does what it's actually supposed to do! This one is definitely a keeper.

Strengths: Extremely small. Fits well in your ear.
Weaknesses: Picks up all surrounding sounds.
Summary: I love the size and weight of this unit. It is almost undetectable once you have it fit to your ear. The only drawback I have found is that it picks up all of the surrounding sounds while you are using it and the person on the other end hears everything. It is great if you are alone in a car or in your office, but if you are with other people and they are talking or there is lots of noise it will really irritate the caller on the other end. I am sure it is due to the unit being so far from your mouth as it hardly extends past your ear being so small. I find if I cup my hand over it and angle toward my mouth in a noisy environment this helps with this problem...you just end up looking like a goof talking into their hand...oh well.

Strengths: Sound quality is excellent, extremely lightweight, talk button is on bottom of headset and an attractive cradle is included.
Weaknesses: Range could be slightly better. Sometimes I encounter mild to moderate static when I have the headset on my right ear and my RAZR in my left pocket. But that is usually the case with most headsets.
Summary: This is my fourth bluetooth headset. I purchased this headset because it is discrete. I don't like large (ear-engulfing) headsets with blue strobe lights. The LED on this headset is much less pronounced than in most other headsets. I believe that you usually get what you pay for and at over $100, you cant go wrong with this headset.

Strengths: Works with all my equipment; laptop pc, pda phone and bluetooth cell phone. So comfortable that I forget I am wearing it. Sound quality is just what I expected from Jabra; excellent. Long talk time
Weaknesses: A bit pricey, but well worth the cost.
Summary: This has to be the best bluetooth headset yet. I listen to streaming music with iTunes on the PC. Works great with the VOIP phones; such as Gizmo or Sippone, even Skype. Perfect for listening to Podcasts. I also get good range as well when hooked up to a computer with bluetooth. Works all around the home. Longet range was about 100 feet. Overall, highly recommended.

Strengths: size, weight, ear fit, performance, clarity, and not to mention the looks!
Weaknesses: I only found 1 flaw...the ear hook piece that snaps on and off of the phone is plastic. It cracked a little, due to my taking it on and off to switch ears.I was able to glue it back together quickly.
Summary: This is my 1st bluetooth headset that I have actually tried and kept. It is very comfortable in my ear and it paired easily with my Nokia N90 phone. The voice recognition works great. The earpeiece itself is a work of art. I often have people stopping me and asking where did I get it. Even the guys that work the little cell phone booths in the mall turn green with envy when they see it!
