Strengths: Excellent value for price.
Weaknesses: None that I can think of.
Summary: This memory is an excellent value and puts real meaning into "Value Select". Two 512MB DDR400 DIMMS are included, with timings of 2.5-3-3-8 for the VS1GBKIT400 model or 3-3-3-8 for the VS1GBKIT400C3 model, giving you a total of 1GB that will severely improve computer responsiveness over 512MB. The sticks I have receive also overclock well, able to reach 230MHz (DDR460) stably at stock timings without heatspreaders. This is probably one of the best non-generic value brand memory kits out there,a nd there is no need to spend extra money on memory getting even lower latencies when you can get such a good value here (and save some money). Would highly recommend this product to everyone from mom and pa who check their email to the enthusiast on a budget playing Half-Life 2.

Strengths: Runs cool. Reliable. Great quality.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: These modules don't discharge excess heat, helping my system stay cooler and run better. Unlike other "value" pieces, they feel substantial in your hand, not hollow and flimsy. Ran through all my memory stress tests without flaws. This is the 5th time I'm installing this model in computers I have assembled or upgraded. All this functionality and the quality Corsair seal to back it up. Highly recommended from experience. Also, the package does not require you to destroy it to open it. So next time you upgrade years and years from now, with it's lifetime warranty and the original package, throw it on Ebay and put it towards your new RAM.

Strengths: Stable for stock CPU speed across PC's. Programs load much faster. No heat generated
Weaknesses: not for overclocking
Summary: It works ok in all PC's I got. All applications are nocitably faster. Just as an experiment with overclocking, I pushed the ECS K7VTA3 with 2200+ Sempron to 1.75 GHZ and it was unstable while my mixed Micron 2700 DDR and 3200 DDR worked flawlessly. This memory is not for overclockers. For regular users (stock CPU), this memory is perfect since it is now at a lower price.

Strengths: Bigeest strength is that is is cheap. It is branded (lifetime warranty) and is reliable. As reliable as purchasing new RAM can be. Double pumped which is a plus if your MB supports it. Now most do.
Weaknesses: no heatsink
Summary: I recommend this product to anyone looking for bang for their dollar. One wweakness is that it doesn't have a heatsink on it from the factory. So if you are overclocking I would put a third parties ram heatsink on it.

Strengths: Very fast and stable, affordable
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Just installed this memory into a new build with an AMD 64 3000+ and Gigabyte Motherboard. The computer is super fast and the memory works great and is very stable. You really can't beat the price these days either.

Strengths: Fast, reliable, inexpensive
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I used this to upgrade a new desktop computer and was surprised to find that the overall processing speed improved dramatically. I never realized how much of a noticeable difference RAM can make in speeding up your PC. I always thought it was just the processor that determined how fast or slow my system ran, but was proven wrong. Definitely get this--or a similar--memory kit if you're currently using 512MB or less. You won't be disappointed.

1 Star ReviewGreat Product
Strengths: Dual Channel
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Well it did not work well in the Gigabyte board. Only one stick runs. When I plug both together, the computer does not start up. I tried to get RMA from the Corsair but they keep insisting in changing the voltage to 2.7v in the BIOS and then do the memtest. All 7 pc (same motherboard model) in my company uses this pair of rams and none of them need to do any voltage changes and they run perfectly.

Strengths: 2 sticks of 512 MB RAM for a total of 1 GB, low cost
Weaknesses: none
Summary: 2006-01-27 11:02:34 This kit contains two 512 MB DDR Corsair Value Select PC3200 memory modules with CAS latency of 3.

I got this 1 GB Corsair Value Select memory to triple the RAM in my PC. I had 512 MB of RAM and with this RAM added, I now have 1.5 GB.

The timings on this RAM are 3-3-3-8 which matches the timing of my existing RAM. I am running all four sticks in Dual Channel and I haven’t had any problems.

This is my first experience with Corsair Value Select memory and I have had no issues with it. It’s good memory at a good price. I would recommend this memory.

Strengths: Price, Availability
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: With this RAM on the market, everyone should upgrade. The minimum recommended RAM on a current system running current software is 1gb. What's in your wallet? I mean DIMM slot.
