Strengths: Good Value, Clean Appearance, Multiple Inputs, Nice Standard TV picture.
Weaknesses: Not Widescreen, Not HDTV, A bit bulky.
Summary: 2006-05-07 15:41:29 I bought one of these to use as a television in the office. I have been looking for a while, and the price got low enough to make it a great deal. Picture for standard cable television feed is better than some LCD televisions I have seen. Great to hang on the wall in an office environment, or for kitchen/bedroom use. I would not buy this as my primary television, for gaming, or heavy PC use... but has a nice balance of features for occasional PC/DVD use with the primary function being a flat screen, wall-mountable television.

Its not as sleek as some LCD TVs, nor is it as ugly as others. The remote also isn't the greatest, nor is it the worst. I think this is a great LCD TV for those on a budget who want a balance of features at a low price.

UPDATE - I've had this thing for a few weeks on the wall in my office, and EVERYONE compliments the look and the picture. With just a regular cable feed, the picture looks very good.

Strengths: low price, decent image quality
Weaknesses: weak speakers
Summary: I recently moved from a studio to a new townhouse. I was looking for the TV that would fit under the kitchen counter. This Olevia LCD TV fit the bill. I was a little skeptical about the brand, but the low price was just too good to pass up. It has worked out great so far. Image quality is good, although this is not an HDTV. The sound the a little bit soft, but I really do not need surround sound in the kitchen. Overall, a great buy.

Strengths: Excellent pics; reasonable price
Weaknesses: no HDTV
Summary: I bought it recently from microcenter. Perhaps the best deal for this size of LCD TV. Good pictures with easy set up. It is not so good as a monitor, but I only use it as a TV otherwise I will get a more expensive LCD monitor.

Strengths: Small size, clear picture
Weaknesses: sound could be better at louder volumes
Summary: A clear picture, surprisingly deep sound, and four inputs make this a great set for game consoles. The VGA input might not cut it as a dedicated desktop, but it serves as a nice display for your media player! Also, it includes a wire-organizer built onto the base. A nice touch!

Overall good tv for the price

2 Star ReviewDid I get a lemon?
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: Poor Picture Quality
Summary: I tried 3 different inputs and get the same poor quality with each one. I tried S-Video with my cable box, Coax with my cable box, RCA jacks with a Playstation 2 and with a DVD player. The picture is blurry...more obviously when there are words on the screen. I would not recommend this as a TV...I did not try it as a monitor.

Strengths: Small, light decent design
Weaknesses: sound is not great when turned up high. Not easy to take off base when doing a wall mount
Summary: My daughter really loves her tv. Of course, she thinks it is totally cool to have a tv on her wall in the bedroom. Great picture quality if you a viewing pretty straight on. It tends to darken sharply if you are off to the sides. This happens with a lot of tv's though so no big deal.

Great price for what you get.

Strengths: Very affordable price, good performance, easy to use, with useful cable clipper at the rear.
Weaknesses: not too customizable (with just a few picture and sound adjustment options), sound is not too good but quite adequate for its size.
Summary: I bought this unit at the modest price of around US$300 and immediately installed it at home. My wife and i immediately fell in love with it. It provided a clear picture from our cable connection, (not too clear from our standard antenna connection because our apartment building does not really have good terrestrial connections/receptions). The sound was adequate for our small room and its overall performance thus far has been more than okay. The only drawback i can think of right now is that its picture and sound customization is a bit lacking (standard settings for picture {i.e.: brightness, contrast, backlight, color temp, hue, saturation and sharpness}, treble/bass/balance for audio) although for a 20' TV, that is more than adequate. I don't really intend on using it as a PC monitor so i can't really comment on its performance there. But all in all, i am very impressed and satisfied with my purchase of this unit. I highly recommend it for those who are thinking of buying it.
