Weaknesses: Wish it came with more memory Summary: I finally know what all the fuss is about. I bought my first ever MAC 2 days ago, and I absolutely love it! My MacBook Pro is everything I expected it to be, and I love the new Dashboard feature that it came with. I especially love downloading the widgets; there are sooo many to choose from!! I really wish though, that it came with the Microsoft Office, because that's pretty much a necessity nowadays. Still, it does come with the full version (not a demo) of ILife '06, which is great- even though I have absolutely no idea how to use it. That's why I signed up for the ProCare, so the people at the Genius Bar can help me use it. If you plan on getting one, you better get it fast, because these macbook pros are selling out unusually fast!! 100% of People (6/6) found this review helpful. Beautiful packaging and industrial design. Weaknesses: Very HOT!!!! The bezel above the function keys is almost too hot to touch. Still no right click on the touchpad. Summary: This is my first mac laptop and my second mac. I have waited for the intel mac laptop since the announcement last year and the wait was worth it. This machine is a beauty and I have no regrets despite the price. The screen is beautiful to look at. The built in isight has great resolution and is better than my stand alone isight camera. The intel native programs fly. A great product. I hope it avoids the dreaded Apple revision one issues. The power plug is rather large and there is an extension cable which is very handy. I grew up with x86 boxes and the macs have won me over. I will keep on XP box for my gaming and the rest of the house will be OS X and Ubuntu. Just be careful if you use the program - monolingual. It's default setting will remove the Power PC component of the universal binaries. In other words, I am going to have to reinstall OS X tonight. Oh well.
