Strengths: Same Bose reliability and sound quality, built-in speaker enclosure, easy setup
Weaknesses: Pricey
Summary: Bought two of these - installed it in-ceiling. Comes with round and rectangle grill. Best thing about it is it comes with its own speaker enclosure. So you dont have to worry about echo effect or audio being lost in the ceiling or having to install ur own enclosure.

Strengths: Very easy to install ,Great Sound ( as you would expect from Bose )Great match with my system. Sony STR-DA5300ES A/V 7.1 RECEIVER ,Oppo DV-980H and Bose 10.2's AM5's 191's,301's Vcs 10 and powered Sub
Weaknesses: I haven't found any yet
Summary: 2008-06-21 10:52:01 These speakers are very easy to install . I put them in a drop ceiling . It took less than an hour . I also bought the drop ceiling kit . It turns out you really don't need it if you have any perforated strapping .You will need some drop ceiling wire to attach to the banding so your ceiling doesn't droop .

Strengths: Natural, clean sound, minimal size.
Weaknesses: Price, not much bass.
Summary: Very nice for surround or multi room systems, although a matched subwoffer should be used for either home theater or primary stereo setup. Size and weight are excellent for any in-wall or celing application.

Strengths: Great Bose sound, and can be placed into walls or ceiling to avoid bulking look. Great if one is remodeling.
Weaknesses: Cost
Summary: One of the best and only options if you want in-ceiling mounted speakers. Others, per the Circuit City rep, are too heavy for in-ceiling installation. Love the Bose reliability and sound. Yes, a bit more expensive, but quality is worth it in this circumstance.
