Strengths: Excellent Media for Apple Macintosh Products--Burns at 2x speed in eMac, iMac, and Power Macintosh equipped with Pioneer Superdrives. Comparable in quality to Apple branded media.
Weaknesses: Media is hard to find on sale in the $1 to $1.25 per disc price point, so when it is on sale, buy huge quantities of it, because it isn't on sale often.
Summary: I was looking to purchase some type of DVD-R media that was comparable to the Apple branded ( and reccommended) media

for use on the Apple Computer platform. After trying many expensive

and inexpensive brands with varying degrees of success, I decided

to give TDK a try. It is one of the few branded media that is

actually for 2x Speed Burners, and the media is very stable, achieves

an excellent burn in my Apple Computer Superdrive, and burns

at the advertised speed. So far, I have not had any coasters,

and would highly reccommended this media for anyone looking

for an off the shelf highly compatible 2x DVD-R media.

Great Media For the Price, if found close to $1.25 per disc!

Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: Not as described.
Summary: Product I received was not 2X media as ordered. It was 8X. Merchant said it would work anyway in my 2X burner and that the 2X is no longer manufactured.

Strengths: quality, compatability with most machines
Weaknesses: none really ...just no individual jewel cases
Summary: I find the TDK quality to be one of the best and have the least conflict with those DVD's working on the most machines. At these prices I really do not even use RW discs anymore.

Strengths: Very stable in burning DVD video material.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: The TDK 2x DVD-R has worked very well in burning video material with my I/O Magic 8x burner. I often experienced problems (stalling and pausing) using 4x DVD-R or +R of various brands when burning video material (camcorder, slideshows, etc.).
