Strengths: Excellent, high quality from a reputable company.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I have been using these DVD+R discs with my Plextor drive for well over a year now and they have not let me down. You really can't go wrong with these 4x discs from TDK. I have had only a few coasters since using these and that was due to faulty burning software. All in all, a good purchase.

Strengths: Quality, Brand name, works on all dvd players, no coasters, and price.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Besides Verbatim dvd+r disks, these are my favorites. I burned over 20 disks without any coasters and I paid about 30 cents per disk. So, These disks have excellent quality and are inexpensive.

Strengths: No Coasters - Price is as good as no name brands - Easy to write on with Sharpie
Weaknesses: Matte surface may not appeal to everyone.
Summary: I've used TDK blank media since the open reel days and it always performs superbly. I'm using a Sony DVD burner and haven't had a single coaster yet and I've been through at least 6 of these cakeboxes in the last year. They have a matte grey (think battleship) surface color which may not appeal to all but I think it is much better than the shiny aluminum most companies use.

Summary: The discs work very well with the HP laptops. I never had a waste Disc. Although the speed is low, the quality of the video on the disc is very good.

Summary: 2005-03-23 16:40:07 The purchase and delivery (from JR.com) went off rapidly and smoothly. TDK is a good name. I am concerned about the 4X write speed -- that potentially adds up to a lot of extra time, when you're talking about 100 discs. It has not been a problem for me so far, though. No coasters. The burns have all been fine, using a Plextor burner. This was a good deal for me.
