Strengths: Optical, browse back/forward buttons, quiet scrolling, tilt wheel, ergonomic natural feel for right handed users
Weaknesses: Not made for lefties
Summary: I like everything about this mouse. It worked right out of the box. It feels great in my right hand like it was made to fit. It has quiet scrolling, quiet clicking, tilt wheel, browse back/forward buttons, optical, and the best part is no maintenance required. I don't have a trackball to clean out, batteries to replace, or a connect button to synchronize. It also has a USB/PS2 adapter.

Strengths: Ergonomic design, smooth wheel, built to last
Weaknesses: Wheel button extremely difficult to press in this new v4.0 of the mouse; left-right wheel tilt of very limited use.
Summary: A solid mouse in a long line of Intellimouse Explorers. As mentioned above, the wheel button is weirdly difficult to depress (very early versions of the mouse years ago had the opposite problem). On the plus side, the smooth scrolling of this new version is welcome.

Strengths: Well made.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: This is the second mouse of this type that I'm buying. It seems to fit my hand and is also durable. I also like the included Microsoft Intellipoint software. Highly reccommended.

Strengths: Comfortable, convenient
Weaknesses: cheap shell. bad quality control
Summary: 2007-04-15 14:00:34 The best mouse I've used. I have long fingers, so this mouse fits my palm perfectly and make me comfortable. The forward and backward button is so convenient, if you use it to browse web for some time, you can't live without it.

I don't like the shell quality, feels plastic.

In 1 year, two dead on left button. After M$ sending me two brand new replacement, I sold it on ebay and bought a logitech.
