It worked right out of the box. It feels great in my right hand like it was made to fit. It has quiet scrolling, quiet clicking, tilt wheel, browse back/forward buttons, optical, and the best part is no maintenance required. I don't have a trackball to clean out, batteries to replace, or a connect button to synchronize. It also has a USB/PS2 adapter. 100% of People (5/5) found this review helpful. Summary: A solid mouse in a long line of Intellimouse Explorers. As mentioned above, the wheel button is weirdly difficult to depress (very early versions of the mouse years ago had the opposite problem). Summary: This is the second mouse of this type that I'm buying. It seems to fit my hand and is also durable. I also like the included Microsoft Intellipoint software. I have long fingers, so this mouse fits my palm perfectly and make me comfortable. The forward and backward button is so convenient, if you use it to browse web for some time, you can't live without it. I don't like the shell quality, feels plastic. It has quiet scrolling, quiet clicking, tilt wheel, browse back/forward buttons, no or little maintenance required. No needs to clean trackball, batteries to replace, or a connect button to synchronize. It also has a USB/PS2 adapter. Compatible with many KVM USB/PS2 switches.
