Strengths: An absoltely beatiful piece of machinery, induction charging, very close shave on the "upper face area", full wet dry convenience.
Weaknesses: Shaving the neck area (mine at least)
Summary: At the outset, I have a difficult time shaving. The hair on my neck seems to grow in every direction and comes in pretty thick. I can't use a blade as shaving in so many directions is very irritating. I have used an electric my entire adult life and was most recently using a Norelco Spectra 8894XL, the James Bond edition. I wasn't dissatisfied with the Norelco, I just wanted to see if there was something better. Due to some promotions a large on-line retailer was having coupled with receiving some of its gift certificates I purchased both the Braun 8595 and the Panasonic ES8097. At this point I figure I have 3 of the best electric shavers on the market. After playing with the newest two (the Braun and the Panasonic) for a few weeks now, here are my impressions of the Panasonic:

pros: It is an absolutely beautiful shaver, it belongs in a museum. The induction charging system is nice....just rest it in its stand, no plugging anything in. Shaving in the shower is convenient as this is a full wet dry. The Panasonic shaved my chin and cheek areas the closest of the 3, essentially what I would consider to be blade close.

cons: It shaved my neck area fairly well, but only after going over it so many times in so many directions it was a bit irritating. Also, not really a con, but you need a good fogless mirror if you're going to shave in the shower.

I would rate this a toss-up with the Norelco, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Norelco which did the second best job on the upper face area coupled with the best non-irritating shave on the neck. Your choice would definitely depend on the type and direction of your beard growth. If your neck area is more cooperative, get the Panasonic.

Strengths: It charging system is amazing! NO OPEN SLOTS OR ELECTRICAL OUTLETS to allow water in!!!
Weaknesses: For the price, this shaver should self clean... and does not.
Summary: This razor is great as far a giving a nice close shave... however, this is one of the most expensive electric razors out on the markeplace today but yet it doesn't have a self-cleaning system (that much lower priced razor's have). For the over $200 price range, Panasonic should consider benefits vs. price. Would I buy this again... well, I would have to say this PANASONIC razor gives me the best shave I have ever gotten from a razor... but I would probably look at a less expensive unit from Panasonic!

Strengths: Fast charging and close shave.
Weaknesses: Better carrying case.
Summary: I've been using this shaver for about a month. I like the charging system and how fast the charging was compare to my old norelco and much closer shave than norelco. So far

happy with the purchase.

Strengths: LCD display, fast shave, pivoting head
Weaknesses: can't shave while charging
Summary: I owned this shaver for two weeks. I used it every day. It's very good. The independently floating triple heads can provide a clean, close shave. The Induction charging system works very good, so you don't need to insert the adapter head into the tail of shaver. The LCD displays battery charge level by 10 steps, it's enough. It also have cleaning reminder trubo cleaning mode and charging status displayed on LCD. I link it.
