Strengths: Easy to use, good as a toaster, convection oven, easy to clean.
Weaknesses: Large, toasting takes a while, expensive.
Summary: This toaster replaced an old Sears model which had stopped toasting to give you some idea of what I am comparing it to. We have found this item to do a great job at toasting - both with frozen and fresh bread. It shows you a timer for how long the toast will take depending on your settings and these times can range up to 6 full minutes (4-6 slices, frozen at the darkest setting). As an oven, we have found it more difficult to use. It's great at reheating things but seems too small to really use as a replacement for much of what we do in the regular oven (e.g. baking). The controls are easy and intuitive and thus far it has held up well. Overall, it functions well as a toaster and occasional reheater - I'm not sure that we had to spend> $100 for those functions though.

Strengths: Quality
Weaknesses: N/A
Summary: I am not familiar with cookwares, so I did a research on it. The model is one of the most popular ovens in Amazon.com. The oven cooks well. The menu is easy to operate, the inside space is large(half cubic foot) and there's two rack positions. For safety, the oven automatically shuts off after 4 hours. If you want a oven in good quality, go for this model. Also, you will get 3 yrs warranty on it.

Strengths: great second oven, large capacity
Weaknesses: takes a while to make toast
Summary: I purchased this toaster oven for myself and was so pleased with it I also purchased one for my son and daughter in law. It's a great addition to the kitchen especially since it also serves as a convection oven. It cooks very well. About the only thing I was disappointed in was the toaster part of it.It takes a little longer to make toast. But I have a separate toaster, so that's not a problem. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a second oven.

Strengths: Easy to use, nice looking,
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I did a little research on toast ovens before placing my order. I am quite satisfied with this toast oven. Its exact heat sensor works out perfect in my opinion. It is really a great oven that you should consider.

Strengths: Easy to clean. Toasts quickly on the second batch.
Weaknesses: Not very intuitive button functions.
Summary: Love the size. It can easily take 4 slices. When you go to toast a second batch, it knows how hot it is and the time will be reduced. It's nice how it has a digital timer. Very easy to clean. Also, it doesn't smoke when there are crumbs or cheese on the bottom. I was able to bake 2 leg/thighs at the same time. One complaint, if you press on any of the function buttons, then you press on the temp up/down (or toast up/down) it doesn't work. You need to press a second button first. Why can't it assume I want to raise the temp after I press the Conv Oven? Other then that minor complaint, I would completely recommend it.

Strengths: It does what it claims it will do.
Weaknesses: Although it has a clock it suggests that the plug be pulled when not in use.
Summary: The Convection/Broiler/Toster Oven by Cuisinart with its heat sensor provides results that are, in my openion, perfect. It does take some time to get use to, especially after using less sophisticated toaster ovens, but the investment of time is well worth it. To date - a weeks worth of use - the family has found it to be user-friendly, again once one has taken the time to read and follow the "how-tos". I would recommend this specific model (TOB-165) without reservation. I suspect that the clock is usable if the users keep their hands off the setting pads. I find that particular design very helpful.

Strengths: Quality of oven. Accuracy of thermostat and heating element. Convection capability. Ability to both cook and toast.
Weaknesses: When toasting, browns one side twice much as the other.
Summary: This is a great toaster oven -- it does the basics of toasting and cooking well. My one observation is that it browns toast twice as much on one side as the other. If that is OK with you, this toaster oven rocks and can't beat. The toaster is well made and looks like it will last for a while. As an example of its quality construction, the baking pan and broiling drip pan are ruggledly constructed constructed to last (my last toaster overn -- a DeLonghi -- had a flimsy broiling drip pan that didn't last very well). Highly recommended if you don't mind the toast being more toasted on one side (you can always flip the toast during the toasting if you want...).

Strengths: Digital controls, convection oven, baking and broiler
Weaknesses: Crumb tray only accessible from the rear
Summary: Very easy to use. Just press the toast button, set the time to toast, and the toast comes out great. Not burned, just the right darkness.
I have tried baking also, works great.
Simple controls on front, easy to see and operate.

Strengths: Excellent toasting performance.
Weaknesses: same as all toaster ovens... crumbs collect at bottom
Summary: 2007-03-07 19:14:18 If you're looking for quality... this is it. Great for use as your primary toaster... even your primary oven, if you're not cooking large items. Don't expect a bargain like you'll find in a toaster oven from a discount store... but those cheap toaster ovens can't toast very well, at all.
