Summary: 2005-09-10 22:54:52 Although the enclosure is made out of plastic, this grinder has the same grinding components as the most expensive models. It grinds the coffee perfectly for espresso. Without any doubts, this is your best bet for a coffee grinder under $100! Weaknesses: No power switch. Cleaning burrs and grinding chamber a bit of a chore. Summary: Works better than I had hoped! The taste of the coffee that comes out of this machine is clearly superior to the blade grinder I was using. Also, the uniformity of the grind has produced excellent results with my press as well as my espresso maker. Even though it's a minor chore properly cleaning it, and it would have been nice if there was a dedicated power switch - having to turn the bean container to turn it off strikes me as a little bit of a kludge - for the price, it's absolutely worth it! 100% of People (1/1) found this review helpful. Summary: This grinder is very quiet compared to other grinders. Its very easy to clean and the grind is very consistent. It also has very low static. I would like an actual stop button, as the method for stopping the grinding before the timer hits zero is to move the coarseness setting beyond the coarsest setting. Instead I just pull the plug (the timer is mechanical). Although I measure my coffee in the hopper before grinding, the timer settings are pretty accurate. Six coffee scoops of beans grind completely at about a setting of 6 on the timer. Ditto with Two/2. Easy to clean. Very low static. Noticable improvement in coffee taste over my old blade grinder. Very hard to get the thing to work again after cleaning. What a rip off company. Summary: This company is out to rip off people, what a sham of a product. It's a plastic product, which put together the right way, might have done the job. But this thing is just made to crack open. I like the compact design, and it is much quieter than my previous blade grinder. My only complaint is that grounds tend to fly out of the cup as it is pulled out of the machine. Weaknesses: Overall plastic construction with loose container. Summary: Upgraded from cheap burr grinder after researcing extensively before purchasing. The reviews were extremely accurate and I would recommend this grinder to any one wanting to upgrade from blade or cheaper burr grinders.
