 Longevity Strengths: Structurally, its a well-put-together mechanical clock. Even if you wind-it-up tightly, it will eventually get back down to a more moderate state.
Weaknesses: If you wind-it-up to tight, you may loosen it by simply forwarding the hands. Make sure that small kids don't play with the hands, or drop it. Overtime, you could invaribly loose small parts.
Summary: Its a wonderful clock -- but its hard to find small replacement parts. For example, recently my daughter and I noticed that the decorated screw which secures the minute- and hour-hands was missing. It possibly worked its way loose over the years. So, I wish someone would respond by indicating where I may purchase this item.
