2 Star ReviewGreat when it works but goes out fast.
Strengths: nice picture and easy to install
Weaknesses: only lasted 17 months and there is no tech service since it costs more to fix that to replace.
Summary: I purchased this product 17 months ago. it installed easily and worked fine until it started turning black. I unplugged it and then plugged it back in and it worked again. Then it happened again. Then again. This kept happening until it died completely. I called Sceptre and they said that since the warranty was out that it would cost me more to fix than it would to just buy a new one. no one in this area fixes these monitors and so I am just out of luck. It is just a disposable piece of you know what now. I am very dissappointed and would recommend that anyone interested in his product consider another brand, with better tech and customer service.

Strengths: Bright picture, comes with DVI cable
Weaknesses: Limited tilt adjustment
Summary: I ordered my Sceptre X9 g-NagaV 19" LCD Monitor from A2Zcomp.com in Ohio Monday night. I was waiting for shipping tracking info to watch it's 5-6 day trek, when it landed on my door (San Diego) step on Wed. That was AMAZING. They were more then quick...and I asked for the cheap snail ground delivery.

The monitor replaced my 20yr 21" CRT Viewsonic that was starting to die. I plugged it in (VGA), turned it on and it did an auto adjust and looked perfect. No dead pixels too. I'm still tweaking with it. I think it's too bright at the moment, especially when you have a lot of white on the screen. Then again, I was used to staring at the cave paintings on my 21" prehistoric boulder that was making sure my desk didn't leave the floor.

I was looking at getting another Veiwsonic, but this one had a much higher contrast ratio and brightness in the specs. I was only looking at monitors with an 8ms or less response time. Plus this one came with the DVI cable...and cost less. I'll have to try the DVI next to see if I notice any difference. But for now I'm happy with this one on the VGA cable.

1 Star ReviewSceptre X9 Naga V
Strengths: Good picture while it lasts
Weaknesses: Both failed, within months, one worked intermittantly then died.
Summary: I owned two of these monitors, both with very similar s/n, both died with the same problem. No power LED, blank screen. Took them apart to check switch and power supply, no 12V from supply. Its ashame the guys that did the LCD design are shot down by some pencil neck trying to save a dime on the power supply. I would not recommend this product...this seems to be a growing problem with electronic products.
