2 Star Reviewvery unhappy with this product did not get the sat ...
Strengths: very hard to clean
Weaknesses: drain hose cramps, clogs, Mine spit in seam and leaked the oil all over
Summary: very unhappy with this product did not get the satisfaction I expected from this product very costly. Which has swayed me to stay away from other product from this Manufacturer.

The Presto Model 0546504 Is a much better product and a lot less expensive...Before you purchase a deep fryer take a look at the Presto

Strengths: Easy to use and clean. Cooks evenly
Weaknesses: Inserting and removing the basket takes a little practice
Summary: I would buy it again. I was expecting digaital oil temperature readout rather than ready on/off light. Draining the oil is easily. Food is cooked evenly. The 1.5 pound capcity is best suited for small famlies

1 Star Reviewcaused me a trip to the hospital
Strengths: heated well. Made great chips
Weaknesses: hard to clean. hose split
Summary: I have been using this fryer for one year. Tonight it leaked hot oil all down my counter, down my wood cabinets onto my hardwoods. i didn't know what to do. I thought to hurry and empty what was left into the oil container. The hose split even more and went all over my hand. I had to just let it go and take care of my hand. Within minutes it was apparent I needed to go to the hospital. I have a first degree burn that covers the whole top and fingers of my left hand.Obviously by previous reviews this has happened to others. BUYER BEWARE!

Strengths: Many . . . See Comments
Weaknesses: The power cord does its job. Still, for whatever reason, I'm not completely enthralled by its magnetic connection feature. Maybe I'm just resistant to change?
Summary: The design of the unit is clever AND efficient. Cleanup is a breeze. Though I don't eat fried foods too often, I really enjoy them when I do. I've only used it once, so far, but the resultant taste, appearance, and texture of the food produced by this feature rich unit made me glad I bought it. I think you will feel the same when you buy yours.

Strengths: Uses little oil, easy to clean, food doesn't absorb as much oil.
Weaknesses: Filters are expensive. Basket doesn't hold a lot of food.
Summary: This is my second purchase of this fryer (I accidentally turned the last one on without any oil and burned it out). I liked it so much that I bought another one. It is easy to clean, so the oil lasts longer. The filters are expensive, but it seems that most fryers use them now. I am wondering if another filter could be cut to fit this fryer.

3 Star ReviewDeLonghi D895UX fryer
Strengths: not so bad
Weaknesses: cleaning problem
Summary: Cleaning was a pain until I figured out you can take it to the sink after draining the oil and wash it by leaving the drain open into your sink.need to do some experiment to make it work and needs some attention while cooking..

Strengths: The fryer cuts down on the smells and mess of frying. I use it almost exclusively for fried chicken, and it works really well.
Weaknesses: The times given in the instructions are not always good--usually too long. I find food needs to be turned once.
Summary: This fryer requires some attention from the user--you need to know how to check for food that is done. I find food does better if I turn it once during the frying. Cleaning was a pain until I figured out you can take it to the sink after draining the oil and wash it by leaving the drain open into your sink. It's no more trouble than any other greasy pan then--you just have to watch that you don't immerse it.
