Strengths: Not heavy, Bright beautiful picture, great sound, many many inputs available
Weaknesses: difficult to see power on LED
Summary: I read the review dated before mine and I had to respond: First I am a plasma man. I have a Pioneer plasma in my den which I purchased from bestbuyplasma 2 years ago using pricegrabber. So now my beautiful wife wanted a unit for the bedroom and I suggested either the Panasonic Plasma or the Pioneer. She went out, scanned pricegrabber and decided on the Dell 37" LCD. I was totally against it! She dragged me to the dell store at the mall and it looked OK so I agreed. The deal at pricegrabber was better than the dell store. Go figure!? WELL, I hooked it up in the bedroom to a HDTV Cable Box and a DVD both using component inputs. WOW!! I take it all back. This picture is brighter than my plasma shows slightly more detail than my plasma , the speakers that come with it have an excellent sound!!!and has many features that my plasma doesn't have! More connections for your input devices, brighter picture, much better sound etc....When my Plasma picture fades in a few years, I'm switching to an LCD. Just read that Samsung has produced an 82" model.... :)

Strengths: Great PQ; Light Weight; Detachable Great Sounding Speakers; Plethora of Inputs; Super Remote Control; Built in ATSC Tuner as Required by US Government Regulations (!)
Weaknesses: Manual is Semi-Useless -- absolutely no details on anything -- just generalization upon generalization
Summary: I had to post a reply to the rather strange review of this TV from the person in CA. The TV DOES have an ATSC tuner as mandated by US Government Regulations for a HD set at this screen size. Also, the TV is sort of midrange in price -- not as expensive as Sharp, etc., and not as cheap as Westinghouse, etc.
I've had the TV for over 2 months and couldn't be happier -- great PQ with brightness, black levels, contrast rations, and viewing angles all as rated by Dell. Great great PQ!!!!

Strengths: Detachable speakers, Picture Quality, Inputs ( 2 HDMI), PIP, ATSC Tuner
Weaknesses: Manual useless, Picture by Picture (PBP) does not use full screen, Startup Time is long (50 seconds), Speaker wires are only 6 feet long and the connections is on the right side.
Summary: This LCD compares to the Sony XBR, not the cheaper Bravia. The Black levels are very good. Sound for Voice is a little washed out, normal audio is great. The Picture just blows me away on a HD channel with HD content. My DIShnetwork 501 PVR is hooked up on S-Video. The Dishnetwork is SD and can be very poor quality image to good. DVDs look good.
Since this machine was made by a PC computer company, you have to reboot now and then. Using the remote, channel up/down works, but enter channel number causes no signal. Reboot, and it ok again.
Receiving 17 Digital HD stations over the air. I am 62 miles away from the transmitters (Los Angeles), and a Philips indoor MANT-510 antenna ($29.99 at Walmart) works great.
