Strengths: Versatile, sharp, well balanced cutlery
Weaknesses: None
Summary: High Quality Craftmanship.Extremely sharp and versatile knife for my wife's kitchen. I was skeptical of premium priced cutlery, but now even I appreciate the quality results with this knife. Food Channel was the original source of my wife's interest in this general type of Wusthof knife. This specific model fit the bill perfectly.

Strengths: sharp blade, balanced, full tang, slices through tough vegetables with ease.
Weaknesses: expensive knife
Summary: I have had this knife on my wishlist for over two years since handling one in a store. I am a vegetarian, so I do quite a bit of vegetable chopping and prep work. The santoku handles the tasks with ease, as opposed to my old knife which could not slice through a sweet potato. This knife is more expensive than many of its competitors, but if you try this knife out and then try out the other brands, you will definitely see and feel the difference. Using price grabber, I was able to purchase this product for about half of retail price.

Strengths: Very sharp. Easy to release sticky slices; Great construction
Weaknesses: None. Pricey.
Summary: My wife has been asking for this kind of knife, Santoku, for some time. I bought this for my wife's birthday gift with Wusthof knives set. She has been extremely happy with this knife. It cuts slices perfectly. Also its scalloped edges make it easy to release sticky foods after slicing them. It must be a must-have for every kitchen. Although it is quite pricey, you do not need to buy another knife as Wusthof is known for its lifetime product guarantee.
