Strengths: Linear, high RPM motor, long-battery life between charges, can be used under water and with shaving cream, cleaning station
Weaknesses: Shaves worse than my previous shaver in neck area
Summary: Unless you can get this shaver on special, you will pay about $100-$120 for it, which is pretty expensive in my book. It does shave well and closer, in my opinion, than my previous shaver (Braun 7595). It is much faster and quieter than the Braun. To me, the battery life seems about the same as the Braun, although, supposedly the Panasonic lasts longer because of the lithium-ion battery; the difference may be due to the faster motor in the Panasonic using up more battery power. What I like best is the fact that it is a wet/dry shaver (which the Braun wasn't). I've taken advantage of this and actually shaved in the shower and a couple of times with shaving cream and it works great. You don't have to use the cleaning station every time to clean it: you can simply add some liquid soap to the screen, run it until it foams up, and rinse it out. I do use the stand after that to just dry the shaver, though. I give it a full cleaning using the stand about once a week. I'm interested in seeing how long the foil will last as my last shaver still has the original foil in perfect condition after about 3 years (I shave every other day on weekdays and both days on weekends). I'm not too concerned about it lacking in the neck area as most shavers have trouble in this area. As I use the shaver more and adapt my shaving technique, I've noticed that I can do a better job in the neck area now than when I first purchased it. I'm happy with it and so is my face.

Strengths: I've shaved with this razor a number of times so far: no breaking in period needed for me, and as close as I could achieve with a razor and shaving cream.
It can be used almost anywhere in the world
Weaknesses: Cartridges of the liquid cleaner are $4 each, and they last about a month. But you can just use water.
Summary: I am actually little worried about how long the battery will last. what if the battery is dead? Hopefully, it can last for couple of years. All in all, I think it's great razor so far.

Strengths: close attachment to the face, powerful shaving, easy to clean (two ways), disposable detergent cartridge, 110-240 V voltage, very good battery life,
Weaknesses: a little bulky for my little bathroom countertop, but you can use it without the stand as well. The cleansing cartridge only last 2 or 3 weeks.
Summary: 2008-04-28 17:29:37 It is very nice that the shaver could be cleaned in two ways, either by the stand (using the detergent) or directly by rinsing with running water. The detergent cartridge does a better job in cleaning, which remove all the greasy stuff. But I like the direct rinsing method more, since it is fast and good enough. It is also a thoughtful design to allow me to charge the shave either with or without the stand. I guess nobody will carry the stand for a trip. Yes, the world-wide voltage adapter is very convenient for traveling to foreign countries. This is the best shaver I have ever owned. It is much more powerful than the Norelco which I have used for the last 3 years. Of course, Panasonic is also a little expensive. It worth every penny.

Strengths: Cost, ease of use, power of shaver, wet/dry usage, cleaning with liquid soap and water option
Weaknesses: the dry mode didn't really make the head dry after using the cleaning mode. The cleaning mode seams to run for several hours between clean and drying. The base is a bit too much of flimsy plastic
Summary: Overall I must say I am pretty impressed with this unit. I am coming off a Braun 75XXX unit with a similar cleaning system and this unit is smaller. The shaver has an ergonomic shape that contours to the hand, unlike my rectangle bar shaped Braun. The Braun unit felt more rock solid and of heavier construction. I am getting a really good shave, better than the Braun unit, the pivot is really nice. I've had no issues adapting. Unit seems noisier than the Braun but seems to have a faster head action. For the price, this unit can't be beat. Time will tell if the unit will last as long but for now I really like it. One thing i found odd, the unit requires a tap water refill in conjunction with the cleaning cartridge to work unlike the self enclosed Braun system that requires no tap water. Wonder what the water tank will be like in a year when its all gunked up.

Strengths: Wet and dry shaver, clean-and-charge base and popup trimmer, 30-day money-back guarantee
Weaknesses: 1 year warranty, doesn't shave as close as a regular manual razor
Summary: This is my first electronic shaver and I've only used it for a couple days now. But I hear you have to use it for at least a month to get the "true" closeness of a shave. I was a little surprised of how close of a shave it gave me compared to a regular razor. The cleaning feature does a decent job. The thing I really liked the most is that it is a wet shaver as well as dry, and could be easily used in the shower. Overall I would recommend this shaver to other buyers who are in the market for a wet/dry shaver. I'm happy with my purchase.

Strengths: Shaves well, long battery life, light and comfortable
Weaknesses: Bulky power cable for travelling, pointless cleaning function
Summary: Decent shaver which replaced my quite old Philips which is the best shave but the most painful, and my Norelco which didn't shave very close at all. This unit shaves pretty close and i required no break in period. Its light and easy to clean. This base station built in cleaning function is a bit of a gimmick. Under the faucet is just as good. Battery life is great but the bulky power cord/adapter is not great for travelling. The base station is way too large for travelling so don't even consider it. The price really varies on this unit but its a decent buy for under $100.
