Strengths: Detachable mini USB cable. Updated version. USB 2.0
Weaknesses: Could support a more formats.
Summary: Very nice reader. It looks like this one is an updated version of their old reader to support faster read/write speed. Cable can be detached making it easier to pack. Micro and Mini SD cards will need adapter. Bright LED light for read/write. Made of plastic but tougher than other cheap readers. I bought it for $10 so great price!!

Strengths: Compact Size; Inexpensive; High Speed; Versatile (handles many different memory formats); Detachable USB cord
Weaknesses: None
Summary: In my experience, Kingston makes quality products, and this memory card reader is no exception. It's not a fancy device, but there's much to be said for its simplicity. This card reader does its job, and it does the job well.
The reader is small (roughly the size of 1.5 card decks) and the USB cord is detachable. These two factors make the card reader easy to store and very portable. The card reader handles a wide variety of flash memory formats, so odds are that your format is supported. Transfer speeds are solid as well. Best of all, you can pick up this card reader for the very reasonable price of about $20.
Overall, if you're looking for an inexpensive card reader that does a good job, you should consider this model from Kingston.

Strengths: Supports 15 different formats, USB 2.0 Hi-Speed data transfer, portability.
Weaknesses: Build quality could have been better.
Summary: This card reader is ideal for transferring images or other data from your memory cards to your computer. I have used it for transferring data from CompactFlash, SD, SDHC and Memory Stick Duo Pro with out any problems. If only Kingston could have done a better job on the quality it would have been the best card reader.

Strengths: Support all popular card formats. Very compact.
Weaknesses: None significant.
Summary: I bought this card-reader so that our house guests can upload and view their digital camera pictures on our PCs. It works right out of the box without any problem. Each of the 4 card-slots appears as distinct removable disk. The device is very compact (on first look of the packaging I thought for a moment they had shipped me the wrong item!). The plastic case seems solid (although I would have preferred aluminum casing). The reader comes with 5-year warranty (unlike Kingston flash memory products which typically come with lifetime warranty) but that is still better than most other card-readers.

Strengths: Sleek, Stylish, very compact
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I bought this product after I lost cable for my sony camera to download the pictures to my computer. No installation was necessary. Just plug the usb cable and it is available as on of the drives. Tried SD card from my phone and it worked perfect. Wish the cable was little shorter(6 inches) instead of the long one..anyways it does the job...

Kingston could have done better
Strengths: Reads CF cards without any issue, looks good
Weaknesses: Long cord interface, card fit
Summary: Did not expect such an inferior product from kingston. My Memory Stick does not fit the reader correctly...and above all there are no direction indication on the reader..it only mentions which bay is which one. After peeking inside the bay and getting to know which direction to put the card in...I had to really struggle hard to see the contents in my card...had to move the card here and there to get the pink light on...

Strengths: tiny, easy to take with, good for both pc and mac, fast
Weaknesses: a small pouch to store would be perfect
Summary: 2007-04-07 08:19:30 I got this 15-in-1 card reader from amazon.com when I searched for a good card reader for my newly purchased cannon rebel. Since I also had DC that is using SD card. I was thinking of getting rid of multiple card readers and replacing them with an all-in-one reader. I was worried of the size of this Kingston reader since it's 15-in-1. Must be a heavy and big block was my original thought. I was absolutely surprised when it arrived that it's only palm size, slim as a cellphone. I had it for a week and had no problem using it. Fast in transferring pictures. I am always clumsy with cable and wires, so that a little pouch with storage place for the reader and usb cable will be perfect for people like me....

Strengths: Does exactly what it says, very simply.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: This device has four slots that accommodate a wide variety of memory cards. I have used it for the CompactFlash type. I just plugged it into a USB port on the computer, took the memory card out of the camera, plugged it into the appropriate slot, and used Windows Explorer to download a boatload of photos, just like that!
I assume you could use Windows Explorer to move photos from one folder to another, too, within the memory card, but I didn’t try that.
If you install the optional driver from www.kingston.com/downloads//151, Windows Explorer will not only show four different USB drivers (one per slot), but will also show what kind of card you have plugged into them. Very cool. Highly recommended.

Strengths: Light compact size and speed.
Weaknesses: Was hoping that it to be faster.
Summary: I currently have a reader that accepts compact flash (CF)only but after upgrading my digital camera, now need one that also reads Secure Digital (SD) cards reader as well and settled on this Kingston 2.0 high-speed Multi 15-in-1 card reader.
Very easy to use, just plug it into your computer's USB port, a little blue light on the unit lights up and you're ready to go! Although there was noticeably faster downloads, I was expecting a bit more speed than it actually provided. It works just great though.
Kingston is a great name for memory but will have to see if this also holds true for their reader.
