Strengths: awesome sound quality, removable battery, built in microphone, fm radio
Weaknesses: battery life a bit too short for me, have to connect to the computer to recharge
Summary: I recently bought this little gadget for $168 at pcmall.com. For some reason this was 168 while all the other colors were being sold for $225 so i bought this one. As soon as I took it out of the box i was surprised at how small and beautiful it looks. Next, I installed the software and got straight to importing my songs into it, after recharging the battery. The software was very easy to use and I learned everything in a couple of minutes. My previous products were the sony nh600d, and the mz-n1. So basically this was the first non-minidisk product that I bought and the software is much easier than sonicstage. Also, There are no copyright restrictions so I can import and export anything from anywhere. After importing my songs it was time to turn it on and listen to the sound quality. Surprisingly the zen micro photo's sound quality is as good as my sony's and the headphones are pretty decent.

Compared to other products, the headphones lack bass but for a starting pair they are much better than the sony headphones that came with my md players. I had a hard time getting used to the touchpad because it is very sensitive and i end up going into folders that i dont want to. But after I got used to the touchpad its time to check out the zen's other features. The equalizer is very good and the microphone is also an interesting feature, although I wont use it much. The radio is surprisingly great and I can tune to popular stations and get almost perfect sound quality. Whats even better is that I can record songs from the radio. Another feature is the ability to carry and view photos. The music stops playing once I start to look at the photos but thats not a big deal to me. The picture quality is also great and I can even put a picture as my wallpaper. This product is almost perfect and the only problem I may have is the battery life. Im used to having a battery life of 30+ hours so it'll be a while before I get used to this. Overall, this is a wonderfull product and I recommend this to anyone with ears.

Strengths: compact , nice LCD screen. FM tuner and quality voice recording
Weaknesses: no discreet buttons
Summary: You can not beat this capacity 8GB for the size. Very nice LCD screen. FM tuner and good quality voice recording.

The only issue for me is that I prefer discreet buttons for volume and such, The slider style buttons are not always reliable unless you are looking directly at them.

Strengths: Sounds great, nice size, good capacity.
Weaknesses: The controls took me a little time to get used to. Battery life is closer to 12 hours also.
Summary: This is a great player. It has the right size, nice color screen, and you can't beat the price. Having a replaceable battery is also a nice feature that can help out on long trips. I have had no problems with it or any creative products, so you can't go wrong with this player.

Strengths: Solid Built, Huge Capacity, Good Battery Life
Weaknesses: Extra sensitive controls
Summary: I am not sure why people are so crazy about the expensive ipo*s. This one is just as good and also comes with radio!!. Sound quality is awsome and earphones are also very good. The only problem is that its control is very sensitive. But not enough to hinder the fun

Picture quality is pretty good for the screen size. The software is pretty user friendly, very well organized. You can even partition the hard drive for data storage.

Strengths: high quality music and photoes
Weaknesses: the screen can be large, and the capacity.
Summary: This is an amazing product. The quality of creative. The music is so good. I rank it even better than IPod from Apple, which I also tried. However, the capacity is a little small for 8GB. Highly recomnmanded.

Strengths: Easy to use, good sound, compact
Weaknesses: It appears you have to install the player on your computer to charge it (sometimes hard to do if you are using the player at work)
Summary: This player is very easy to use, unlike the SanDisk Sansa that I purchased prior to this player (and returned a week later to purchase this player.) The controls are a bit "touchy", but this can be adjusted through the menu. The sound is good, and the menus are easy to maneuver. My only complaint is that it doesn't seem to charge on my work computer, which is protected so I can't install the player. I'll have to spend the extra money on the wall charger :(
