Strengths: Aesthetics of installation -- low profile makes it near-invisible.
Cable routing through mount.
Flexibility / adjustability.
Weaknesses: DIY installation not for the timid.
Summary: I bought this universal projector mount for my new high-def projector in my living room. This is the main living room in my house, so aesthetics was very important to me. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, and I get compliments on its tidiness.
I selected the RPA-US because it was competitively priced, very low profile, and the silver color was an excellent match to my projector (Sanyo PLV-Z4).
The universal attachment was an impressive piece of design/engineering, and I'm confident it'd work for any projector. The installed mount was also very easy to adjust in multiple dimensions. And once adjusted, it is very stable and secure.
I did my own installation -- made a reinforcing bracket-and-2x6 piece that fit between the ceiling joists. It wasn't that hard, but it's not for the home-improvement impaired.
