Strengths: Microwave, convection or grill alone or combo nuke with convection or grill / browning. Has small rack that rotates for two meal preparation at same time.

Weaknesses: Display input pad could be more user friendly. Keep your reference guide handy. Would have been nice if designers had each heating function separately controlled. Metal pan could have been Teflon.

Summary: Good unit. Microwave strengh and size is good. A bit noisey. Made awesome meal first day I had it: 1 can corn undrained, 1 bag Uncle Ben's rice mix, 1 envelope Lipton vegtable soup mix, 1 can Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup. Combo convection with microwave for 30 minutes stirring ocassionally. Made good pizza on grill function alone, but took a bit longer than a regular oven, but wasn't burned.

Great idea, perfect size

Strengths: Very easy to use, quick and nice looking.

Weaknesses: Looks like stainless, but not.

Summary: This unit fits nicely under lower cabnets, with about 2" clearance above. The 1000W microwave is stronger than the similar sized Sharp Conv. Microwave. Display is ok, the clock is a little small. Once you master the manual, you will love how quick this cooks and browns food.

JES 1290SK Countertop Microwave (1.2 Cu. Ft., Stainless Steel, Convection

Strengths: Dual appliance,easy to use touch pad controls, large cooking area, very reasonably priced

Weaknesses: the sides and top are blue instead of silver

Summary: This combination microwave/convection oven is the perfect size for a condo or dorm room. It fits perfectly in the standard built-in microwave shelf that many cabinet makers offer today. This frees up valuable counter space in my condo's 7ft X 8ft galley kitchen. The inside cooking area is large enough to cook a whole turkey or pizza, which eliminates the need for the traditional stovetop/oven. The touch pad controls are user friendly.

Won't last 2 years

Strengths: Stylish and multiple functions

Weaknesses: Shorts out and mine caught fire at 18 months

Summary: I wish I would have done my homework BEFORE wasting money. 18 months after I purchased this unit it arced, sparked and caught FIRE while making popcorn. I Googled the unit to see if this is a common problem and BAM!... many, many others with the same problem. I'm lucky I was standing by it when it went.. had I been in the other room or something I could have had a major issue on my hands. BEWARE! Research this unit further before you put your family at risk. This unit, based on the sheer number of people who have had their unit short out, should be RECALLED.
