Strengths: OEM replacement parts fit the razor perfectly, instructions on replacement are clear and easy to follow.
Weaknesses: Foil and blade are only sold in combination, you can not purchase separately.
Summary: Braun recommends that you replace both the foil an cutter every 18 months to get a 25% better shave. Make sure that you don't damage one or both of these replaceable items more often than that; the expense for the foil and blade are nearly half the price of the razor itself. I would recommend that you do not maintain the razor more than two times on a regular maintenance schedule. Based on the cost of the parts, you could buy a new shaver by your third replacement. Since this is a rechargeable razor, it might make more sense to replace the ENTIRE razor after a couple of foil/cutter replacements, as it is a given that the battery will eventually stop taking a charge. Should you decide to purchase this packaged item, it will do what you expect. Easily replaceable, clear instructions, quick process. If you are sure that all your razor needs is a new foil or cutter blade, I would highly recommend purchasing this.
