 Best Electric Shaver Ever! Strengths: Cheap with $20 rebate until 31Dec08, holds a charge for 2+ weeks, well made, can use wet or dry, can clean with liquid soap, blades & screens seem to last about 1-2 years, very close shave
Weaknesses: No 220V for overseas, can not use while cord is plugged in but charges in less than 1 hr for me but can use in minutes after plugging in, expensive replacement heads & blades, plug-in unit gets hot
Summary: 2009-05-21 11:42:50 My old Remington shaver died so I tried the Braun with cleaning station for the past year or so ... it worked fairly well but not as good as my 12 year old Remington. So, when I saw this Panasonic on-sale at NewEgg for $40 with a $20 rebate and free shipping -- I bought two ... one for an extra screen and blades and one to use daily. The screen & blade cost $36, so a new shaver was less. www.newegg.com/Product... Too, this was the fastest rebate that I have ever received ... a couple of weeks vs 6-12 wks for others. UPOD - very few products Under Promise and Over Deliver for me but this is one! An excellent, excellent product. The nose trimmer is so-so ... a nice bonus but not excellent -- I give it a fair to good. Have a Great Day! John San Antonio Oh, I forgot to add that it has green light charge indicators on it ... High, Mid, Low when turned on. ******************************************************** 5-21-09 Update: ******************************************************** On-off switch started taking 4-5 tries to get it to work then finally stopped working completely at 5 months ... had to send it back for a replacement and I got a new model and a new unit which was suppose to have been re-conditioned but was new ... lucked out I guess. Disappointed in this switch problem so will rate from 5 star to 2 stars.

Strengths: - Wet/dry shaving with an electric is actually better than using a blade
- Good shaver for a good price
- Shaves both dry and wet
- Shaves really close
Weaknesses: Haven't noticed any
Summary: I have been using Braun and recently switched to Panasonic. Now that I'm shaving more frequently however I thought I'd get a decent one and this Panasonic is great. I have a fairly sensitive face but I think my beard only needed about 4 or 5 days to fully adjust. Even if the razor is dry, it shaves very close and doesn't irritate my skin. This is definitely better than any of my old shavers.

Strengths: low maintenance (simply wash in water) / indicator shows charge level / can be used dry or wet, even with shaving foam
Weaknesses: as all electric razors, if not used regularly, it can miss single hairs on the neck uncut
Summary: I've tried twice in the past to use electric shavers and the experience was not satisfying so I stayed with safety razors. With this one I think I can convert into using electric one. It is easy to use and I am much impressed that besides dry, it can be used in "wet" conditions - including with shaving foam and being washed under the faucet.

Strengths: HOLDS A CHARGE A LONG TIME. CLOSE SHAVE AND GREAT VALUE.
Weaknesses: HAVEN'T FOUND ANY YET.
Summary: I BOUGHT THIS SHAVER FOR MY HUSBAND AND HE LOVES IT. HE SHAVES EVERYDAY AND IT HAS BEEN VERY GENTLE ON HIS FACE. PLUS HE LOVES THE EXTRA NOSE TRIMMER THAT CAME WITH THE SHAVER. HE HAD A BRAUN BEFORE AND LIKES THIS ONE MUCH MORE.

Strengths: *Fast *Charge lasts a long time *Shaves very close to skin *Fairly quiet *Nose hair trimmer nice bonus
Weaknesses: None really, maybe wider razor attachment for sideburns
Summary: This razor is the best out there for the price. You could spend $150 or more for a Braun and be stuck with a huge shaving station on your countertop (the self cleaner station, which is just one more thing that could break) or you could buy this razor and have plenty of shelf space. I will admit that I am a hairy guy and I should be shaving every day. Previous to buying this razor, I had an older Panasonic that lasted 5+ years with out ever changing the clippers or foil. These razors are very sturdy and provide a comfortable, fast shave. The battery indicator is a nice feature because my old razor would just suddenly lose power. It takes me less then 5 minutes to shave and the quality of the shave reduces the need to go over with a conventional razor. Would highly recommend especially for the price. This is a go anywhere work horse that pays for itself within a couple months.

Strengths: Battery life, hair trimmer a plus
Weaknesses: Nothing significant
Summary: The Panasonic shaver is very good for its price. The battery life is excellent (I can go for 1-2 weeks without charging). The fact that it's cordless means no annoying wires to restrict your movements. The only gripe I have is the typical problems with electric shavers. You will not get a shave as close as a razor, and it will sometimes miss hairs, so you will need to go over the same area more than once.

Summary: I think this razor is very average. I seem to have better luck with electric razors with multiple, adjusting circular heads. But this razor is fair, and if you can get it at a discount, its a pretty good value.

Strengths: - Wet/dry
- Easy cleaning (use handwashing soap)
- Good grip
- Good battery life
Weaknesses: - No improvement over my 7 yr. old model
Summary: When it is time to replace the blade and screen for my 7yr old panasonic shaver (ES7018), I found that this new model is available for almost the same price, so it was a natural choice to get a new shaver. The shaver definitely hasn't let me down so far and is definitely on part or better than my old model. The performance of the blades is almost exactly same as the old model, which means it does a good job in general except on the neck. Couple of areas where I can see a good improvements are the battery life (my old one definitely lost some life over usage, but I still think this one does better) and the grip. I had at least a couple of incidents when my old shaver ended up slipped while trying to wiggle off the water, but this one is unlikely because of the good rubber grip. I haven't tried the nose trimmer judging that it will be useless. I would definitely recommend the shaver, but if you are simply upgrading from an old tripple blade panasonic model, there is not really much benefit unless of course you can find this for the same price as replacement blades.

Strengths: Long lasting charge (light use, 2 min / day - two months).
Flex head. Smooth skin after shaving. No burning skin.
Easy to clean, wet or dry. No smelly shaver any more.
Weaknesses: The only drawback is that it can NOT be used while charging.
Summary: I ordered this shaver on May 1st, 08 from newegg, received on May 6th, 08. Fully charged the shaver overnight. I used one time per day for about 2 minutes. The charge lasted about two months!! Rebate came quickly. Received rebate check about 6 weeks. Overall, a great product at a great price.

Strengths: Quick and close shave. Easy to clean. Side burn trimmer is excellent.
Weaknesses: Some skin irritation even using shaving cream.
Summary: 2008-07-07 15:24:08 My husband has used regular razors for the last 30 years (as electric shavers never gave a close enough shave.) Recently he decided to try an electric shaver. Very impressed with all the improvements. He will continue to use the new shaver versus going back to blades again.

Strengths: Does the job of shaving closely and trimming nose hair. Price is good for the combo.
Weaknesses: The shaver does not work well in the wet mode (w/ shaving gel). Trimmer pulls the hair a little, somewhat painful.
Summary: I decided to give this shaver/trimmer combo a try, since it was on sale and I wanted an alternative to shaving with razor blades. This combo does not dissappoint me. The shaver does the job well, though it takes sometimes to condition the beard and mustach for it to work well. However, I find that the shaver does not do a good job in the wet mode (i.e., with shaving gel applied). The nose hair trimmer works as advertised. But it takes some getting used to, because it tends to pull the hair a little and causes some discomfort. Overall, I would rate this combo as very good.

Strengths: Feels comfortable, works great
Weaknesses: Can't use it when you travel outside the country due to the single 120v voltage
Summary: Overall it's a good razor. It beats my old one which I paid for over $100. The trimmer is definitely a great plus.
My only complain is that it's not dual voltage.

Strengths: Battery life is incredible
Shaves very close
Weaknesses: None noted
Summary: I went from a Norelco that would need to be charged every other day from the time I bought it to this unit that has gone almost 3 weeks and still doesn't need a charge. Cuts very close on my not do heavy beard and does not irrate my skin. Easy to clean and even coms with a soft carry pouch.

Strengths: Inexpensive.
Good quality.
Not too bulky.
Hold charges well.
Nose trimmer included and works fine.
Weaknesses: Charge time is a little too long, over 8 hours.
Summary: I have been using my new Panasonic Pro-Curve shaver for a few weeks and I like it very much. Compare to my old Philips shaver it shaves much closer in less time. Plus there is a nose trimmer included and that works very good too. I am completely satisifed with this purchase not to mention the price I paid is just fraction of other "higher" brands.
