Weaknesses: Loud when kneading,
Can't submerge metal pan in water for washing
Summary: This is really a great machine, and I purchased it from amazon.com for just $70 shipped to me.
First off, it's very elegant. I mean, VERY elegant. It matches with my Cuisinart silver-black styled kitchen appliances, the Sub-Zero fridge, and other appliances with style. I am very impressed by the styling as well. It's a small machine, but can make 1, 1.5, and 2lb bread loaves.
Already, at this price point, nothing can come close to offering the kinds of options, features and design/color of the TR2500BC. It's a great device. It not only makes any kind of bread from start to finish, it also makes doughs for rolls or pretzels or pizza, and jams. It has a bake only feature for doughs that are made outside the machine. You can even preset your own instructions.
The results are quite satisfactory. I really like medium-dark crust, so the crust options are a great feature. I haven't used the add-in box yet, but others have said it's great. For those people who want lo-carb or gluten free bread, this is THE machine to have. If you can bake it, and it's a kind of bread, this machine can help you make it, if not complete the task for you 100%.
Highly recommended. Also, get it from Amazon.com and spend $10 extra to get a one year extended warranty. Some people have complained that this machine doesn't age well, but you'd might as well protect yourself against any problems beyond the one year limited warranty.
