Strengths: Small, compact design. Better for laptops than "wired hub" types.
Weaknesses: Most devices need the optional power adapter. Not so hot if your on a laptop.
Summary: I bought this as a "quick fix" to provide an additional port to my wife's laptop when she broke one of the built-in's after the warranty expired. I like the subcompact design of the unit opposed to the wired variety, however most devices require the optional power adapter to provide the correct voltage (don't go thinking you can plug a mouse AND keyboard in without one) This isn't so hot for roadies, as it is another "cord" to loose or fumble with, but is not the fault of the product. However, they [Belkin] should specify in-depth as to which devices would require additional power or include said cord as most of the wired versions do.
