Defective product, worse service
Strengths: none--the product has never turned on.
Weaknesses: Defective product--has never worked. The face plate and the control unit are faulty.
Summary: Bottom line: Don’t buy Haier. I purchased a 60 bottle wine refrigerator on April 18, and it didn’t even turn on. A&E, Haier's designated servicers, have twice misdiagnosed the problem and ordered the wrong parts. A & E has failed to follow up on ordered parts, and if I hadn't made repeated complaints, I probably still would have never heard from them.
The final straw came June 8, when, after I confirmed that the part HAD arrived and confirmed the appointment, the local scheduler cancelled the appointment, claiming the part---that was sitting in my living room--hadn’t arrived.
As a result, 60 days later, and my refrigerator STILL does not work. Haier refuses to exchange or refund my money, saying A&E has to “officially” say the product is unfixable.
Well, I officially say that Haier and A&E have delivered the worst product and service I’ve ever experienced. Bottom line: Don’t buy Haier. If you must, only buy it from a place where you can return the product immediately.
