2 Star ReviewExcellent image quality, but...
Strengths: Excellent HD/DVD image quality
Weaknesses: Low TV sensitivity.
Summary: The image quality when the signal source is HD or DVD is excellent (using component cable connection). But when the signal source is analog the image is grainy. I tried analog cable. It shows snow effect as if the signal is weak. But the image on my tube TV is very clear. I tried using a TV antenna. The image is barely watchable. I think the sensitivity of the analog tuner in this TV is very weak. I purchased this for use with analog source so I am disappointed.

Strengths: Easy to setup, great picture quality, elegant design.
Weaknesses: Picture washes out in bright sunlight, not supported by some all-in-one remotes, Low native PC resolution.
Summary: Purchased this LCD TV in 2005 and it had great specs back then. Has all the basic TV controls and adjustments and can also double as a computer monitor. It has the standard VESA mounting holes so it was easy to mount to the wall. It works great as a TV. It delivers great picture with my Comcast digital cable.

As a PC monitor, the native resolution of 800x600 is on the low side and it lacks the crispness of some of the higher resolution monitors.

The sound from the built in speaker is acceptable for normal TV viewing.

Been using it for a year now and no problems whatsoever.

Strengths: Solid, compact, excellent picture quality, excellent stereo sound quality, I use it as a tv in my study. I am thrilled by it.
Weaknesses: none yet.
Summary: This has to be one of the best TV I have ever bought. It is equal to most expensive brands in quality but less in price. I highly recommend it everyone to buy it.

Summary: Nice looking unit, not cheap looking like some at this price point. Great picture, very good sound. Have only used it for watching cable TV and DVDs (which is why I bought it). Looks nice under the kitchen cabinet (just fits!), replaces a 20" tube TV that took up a whole place setting at our bar. Now it folds flat against the wall when we need the space. Sweet!

1 Star ReviewBuyer Beware
Strengths: Great layout--sleek design, good functionality
Weaknesses: Poor workmanship/defects promotes product failure after a few uses, and Niko warranty is worthless. Don't take the same hit I did--spend a little more and go with a reputable manufacturer.
Summary: I got stuck with a 26" version of the POS that died after one use. Warranty on website stated replacement in 12 months due to just about anything, and call confirmed. Once they received it, they say 'it is apparent' I damaged it and now have to pay 75% of original cost to pay for their defects. Overall, a nice looking, feature rich LCD that belongs in a model home...

Strengths: Low price, no dead pixels (this is specific to myself but I saw a lot of other people say they did not have dead pixels upon receipt), sturdy base, adequate speakers, and sleek design
Weaknesses: resolution is low for pc use (to be fair this is marketed as a tv so it should be used as such) and wire inputs are on the side which makes it a little difficult to hide wires.
Summary: 2006-08-03 00:19:42 I bought this TV on sale for $300 minus a $50 rebate and a $15 coupon and I think for $235 it is an amazing TV. Even for $300 it is very good, altough I would consider getting a TV with better resolution and features at a price over $350.

This TV was my first flat panel television and I have to say I'm impressed. I was a little afraid that it would arrive with some dead pixels and since their return policy requires 8 or more I would be stuck with it. This did not happen and it has been perfect right out of the box.

It only has a 2d comb filter however my cable still comes in pretty nice and I have not experienced any glare off the screen despite what I have heard from some reviews on other sites. It is not heavy at all and at under 20 lbs it can be mounted with cheaper mounts which cost significantly less.

The channels do switch somewhat slower than my old CRT however that is only the screen display and if you press the channel button a lot of times it will switch to what channel it should be and then have a slight delay in displaying the image. I have seen this be a problem in other lcd's of this price range so I am not worried about it.

Overall if you can find this for $300 or less it's a steal. I have had no brightness problems at all and the image display has been great. I merely bought this TV in order to save space in my dorm room however I now have a better display than my previous 20" CRT that cost $200.

If you want a TV that can also be used as a computer monitor look for something else (preferably costing at least $400) but if you want something to display non-hdtv in a decent-sized room, there isn't a better product to buy.

Strengths: Great picture quality as TV, an the price is great, too with the $100 mail-in rebate
Weaknesses: The resolution is low for computer use.
Summary: I use it to watch DVD movies. The is an ideal entry LCD TV for people who want to use it mainly as a TV, not as PC monitor. The picture quality is among the best you can find at this price point.

Strengths: Solid quality, user-friendly and easy to use, fantastic use of space, all for not a lot of money.
Weaknesses: None yet.
Summary: I bought this TV to use in a location where footprint was at a premium. This unit is as compact as you can get, while offering sufficient clarity/sharpness of image to do the job even when viewing from a distance (TV style, not computer monitor use). Surprisingly, the sound delivery was quite good. Unit is quite flexible and can accommodate all kinds of inputs. Great value for the money.

Strengths: Bright, good sound, great quality for a low price
Weaknesses: haven't found any at this point
Summary: This is a great deal on a great quality TV. There are probably better units on the market but for this price, you can't go wrong.

The only issue at this point is that I can't control the volume or power on with the cable TV box. I'm sure it's just a setup issue.
