Strengths: Good looking, remote, front input, great price. Good features.
Weaknesses: Weak bass, volume knob changes fader, eq., ballance, etc. and can be pressed by accident..
Summary: Overall this is a good stereo... I have bought 2.. one for my car and one for my boat. I like the front input jack... makes MP3 players/XM/ laptops easy to plug in. to change the balance/fader/ EQ you have to push the volume knob. The problem is that it is often pushed when you are trying to adjust the volume... For some reason the bass is weak with this unit... I have to have the bass level turned all the way up even with amplified subs.. but then it sounds good...

Strengths: Works great bright display. Auxillary jack
Weaknesses: Not top of the line and not really upgradable.
Summary: My old radio wasn't working anymore and I didn't have any need for satellite radio or ipod ready radios. I got this with free installation at CC and so far it works great. Only annoyance i had was finding the "select" button which is on the wheel itself :P (took awhile to figure that out).

Strengths: Plays MP3, WMA files and has the aux. input on the front of receiver, remote control, and great price
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Best bang for the buck. It's hard to beat the price for all the goodies that come with this receiver. It's also nice having the aux. input for my ipod or mp3 player.

Strengths: Impressive sound for the money, front aux input for MP3s etc..
The remote is very convenient.
Weaknesses: Adjusting the volume control often causes it to switch to bass and treble control.
Summary: 2006-05-28 05:48:59 It took me a while to take the plunge and buy a cd player for my 94 Accord. I am very glad I purchased this Sony product over all the others. I am planning to remove the unit in my other vehicle to install this Sony CDX-GT200.

Strengths: Excellent quality, style, price, and looks
Weaknesses: NONE
Summary: Great, Great CD/MPS/WMA player for the money. You cannot go wrong. So many other cheaper made brands are on the market for the same price, might as well go with something that is known. Controls are easy to access, face pops out without a hitch, great player, and with the proper speakers, ecellent output of over 200Watts. A Great buy!!!!

Strengths: Sound quality is great
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: We have wanted a nice stereo for a while, I did some shopping around and comparing. I found that for the money, Sony Xplod setups are nice and sweet. I have this stereo in my car, followed by a Xplod 500w 4/3 amp, and I push two 12" bazooka subs hard. The sound quality is awsome, $4$ this stereo can compare to Pioneer or Pyramid when it comes to sound quality. But if you are looking for a good deck, that will play whatever you throw at it, and your a father of 3 on a budget, this one is perfect.

Strengths: Good sound quality, it great for ipod, too
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: The CDX-GT200 has improved the sound of my factory speakers remarkably. The thing sounds great to my ear. The radio has 18 presets for FM and 12 for AM.
I used to have a first-generation Aiwa MP3-capable CD deck installed in the car (before it was vandalized) and this Sony sounds MUCH better, using the same speakers.
It plays all the CD's I have burned with MP3 files and it navigates through folders quite well, allowing me to place whole albums in separate folders on the CD. The display shows, folder/album and song names nicely.
Though there was conflicting information on whether this deck would fit the Subaru Forester at various sites on the Web, I was able to install it myself by discarding the included mounting "sleeve" and the faceplate trim that comes with it. I had to use two other screws to mount the Subaru frame directly to holes in the sides of the player, but it is in nice and secure, and it looks fine.
The best thing is the sound though. For this price, it was a big and pleasent surprise.

Summary: This model has everything you want in order to play your ipod at a reasonable price. Other brands were about $50 more expensive for the same features. Easy to use with easy to read display.
