Player burned out after 5 months
Strengths: Nice Picture and easy to operate. Solid Case.
Weaknesses: After having the system for 5 months the player burned out. Was watching a DVD when the screen dimmed and the player actually started smoking!
Summary: Contacted Customer Care at Philips where they offered an exchange for this unit for $150! I paid $245 back in December 05. Originally they wanted me to take it to a repair shop where I would eat the cost of labor but I made them stick to their warranty agreement. For $150 I might as well spend it on a new DVD player NOT made by Philips
