 Not the best Coffee Maker. Strengths: Has a timer and clock. Lots of features for the price.
Weaknesses: Did-not make good hot coffee. The little rubber stopper that lets you take the cup of coffee when it is brewing kept fall out when I washed the swing out basket that holds the coffee grinds.
Summary: 2006-09-28 21:43:21 When I would wash the swing out basket the little rubber stopper that stops the coffee from pouring out when you take a cup of coffee while brewing kept falling out and I lost it so I had to replace it and it still falls out. It is so small you could loose it down the sink. It would be nice to see Hamilton Beach and Proctor Silex same distributor make a different mechanism to let you take a cup of coffee when brewing. The coffee maker doesn't make a hot pot of coffee. The coffee didn't stay hot either the glass pot that holds the coffee is very thin and doesn't keep the coffee very hot. The lid on the glass coffee container is very flimsy and broke and had to be replaced. Doesn't have a non stick hot plate so if coffee gets on the hot plate it is hard to wash off you have to scrub and scrub. I finally bought a different coffee maker a BrAun. Which I had before I also had a Black and Decker and a Moulinex and a Krups before those were also very good.
